Oh Claire, I'm really sorry about Wongy.
Sammy, sorry you've had a bad few days.
Pooky, sorry things are bad now.
Well, after my great time at the business link course yesterday I saw my GP and told her all about it.
She's contacting the Psych and thinks I need a CPN because I shouldn't even be thinking about full time work, never mind starting my own business. She says that carrying on how I am, with little bits of voluntary work and studying is best for me. She's says it's not even borderline whether I should be on benefits or working, it's definite.
Told sister, who said that I should be making plans to work in the future, and I'm sure dad'll say the same. Not to mention everywhere you look in the media seeing things about how everyone should work, no exceptions.
So I'm feeling a bit flat and unsure about everything!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Claire - Sorry to hear about Wongy - Love the blue phone/bag charm - very pretty.
Elfen - nothing sad about film watching and cross stitch - what are you stitching at the moment? I've just finished a small piece, not done any cross stitch for years but really had a hankering to do some last week.
Lou - Hope you enjoy your walk with hubby.
Well I've made the ice cream cake/bomb thing for DD2 for tomorrow - it's currently in the freezer setting (thinly sliced swiss roll lining a bowl then filled with mint choc chip ice-cream with a layer of cake on top) This will be the 3rd time she's had this cake as it's her fav (and very cheap and easy to make too).
DH is having a majorly bad day and we're both very tetchy with each other....we really do need to move to a house with a downstairs bathroom.......just another thing to think about.
Wine o'clockl me thinks.

Sorry to hear you have had a couple of bad days Sam, how was France?
Marketing........shudder, was never any good at that. Probably why I am a crap business women.
France was fab louise...a tad expensive but we knew that and just ate good food and wandered round looking at buildings..
I looked fantastic till I fell over twice in my high heels and I wasn't even drunk.
I was carp at marketing but I have found something I like marketing (me!) so I am doing better at it lately.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Ames it doesn't hurt to have ambition and if you've got something specific in mind then there's no harm in doing some groundwork and research into it. I would however listen to your Dr, sad as it it, you do need them on side for so much. Could you maybe step up the volunteer stuff a level?
In reality I do notice how much you mention feeling worn out and that's all part of your illness and you cope with it at the moment by having a few days in front of the telly regaining your strength and stamina, that's not possible when you're trying to get a new business off the ground.
It's not a case of "never ever" but a case of "one day".....but please listen to your body - your health is far more important than anything else (and yes I do know how fustrating that must be to hear)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Ames its a hard one...
I was thinking about this a lot over the last couple of days as I feel so much better emotionally since I have been doing something I enjoy. A bit like Luc feels now....
Its okay the dr saying you shouldn't be working but sometimes you need something to get out of bed for. Its not always about 'working' - its about knowing what you want to do in the future and working out how to get there - emotionally and physically.
Maybe there is a compromise to be had somewhere along the line..Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
