Thats silly, it should be for people who need help not how long you have lived in the area.

    Hi Pooky and everyone

May I just throw a thought your way Pooky....if your house is absolutely unsuitable for the person with disabilities i.e. bathroom and bedrooms upstairs, access and downstairs rooms not suitable for wheelchair access etc then it may be that you can claim to be "homeless" on the grounds that you do not have a suitable home. It may mean more form filling and maybe getting a report from an OT and I certainly can't speak for other local authorities. I got this advice from a Housing Officer, so you may feel it's worth considering....

All the more reason to send him to school and behave as normal - rather than pass your fears onto him.

I appreciate he's upset but school will take his mind off of it all.

He seems much better now, so i think he will be going.

Bens Just come in he seems to be ok.

Thanks Bookworm, will speak to them again but feel like I'm banging my head against a wall. I just want to concentrate on looking after DH and DD's without this constant worry of housing/benefits/insurance companies/consultant visits/hospital visits/boy friends/gcse's....where's that fairy godmother when you need her?

What are crunchie rocks Beanie? I think I might want some....;)

Have checked out all the stop smoking stuff - read the leaflet that comes with the patches and had a nosey at the inhalator....Debating whether putting the immersion on for half hour tonight would give me hot water for the morning so I can have a shower, get clean, put my patch on and start from there
