Google "tripadvisor Club La Costa" to find 231 mixed reviews of resorts showing average of 4 stars out of 5 between tripadvisor and holiday watchdog showing a balanced view not in a forum environment.

I think our man toprobroy is going to be too busy waging the same war on CAG to come back

He gets involved from page 5 and faces the same onslaught as here later on from the wave of disgruntled victims.

It isn't about the resort stars, it is about the fees and selling practices.

It makes me wonder how many more sites he was PPR'd in.

Its a shame really, because if anything, he was at least "approachable", and open to discussion, I think the PPR was the same reason the old thread was pulled, but I think it had more to do with his advertising techniques than anything else.

That he runs his own "fee" paying website, he really should have known better.

I personally, just dont trust his site, I find it amazing he can run such a site, whilst going around all these various "forum" sites, trying to praise the company and sell himself, if anything it just makes me trust his site even less.

It would be interesting to know if he has PPR'd Mpython from his site or not, but apart from that, Its not my problem ;)

maksipup, if I recall your past posts correctly, you've taken 150 weeks holidays over 20 years with club la costa (which in all likelihhod, the equivalent could have been bought much cheaper elsewhere but no doubt you will disagree) and you say its now paid for itself.

Now if I understand it correctly, this is a moneysaving website.

How many people do you know that book 7 and half weeks holiday in 5* accomodation each year? So how many members of MSE do you think your views are helpful to?

Can you give my regards to brad an angelina next time you see them?

Thanks for that CHR15, I've posted the devoncourt hotel letter on there now. Maybe he will see sense after his experience on MSE.

So far not. Whether he will after my post on CAG I shall wait & see.

But he would have to act outside his website's T&Cs and the DPA to do so effectively and I would also know if he decides to misuse my registered details. I think I was wise to be cautious and use a completely individual email address and funds limited paypal account when registering.

MSEers could always start a retraction thread similar to the one about IRD and Shunny whatever his name is

Memory letting you down mpython, average 12 weeks/year for last 5 years including this one. Yes, already proved it has worked out cheaper for standard we have experienced. From original posting works out about £100 for each week from original investment up to the end of this year. With maintenance added, still worked out pretty well. Average maintenance when we started in 1991 (not with Club La Costa) was £87. Average maintenance paid per week last year worked out about £220-£230 if I remember correctly. Private rentals at the resorts we have stayed in have varied from between £400 per week to £1000. Maybe I am just one of the many lucky ones!:)

I know of quite a few with 7,8,9,10 weeks or more, mostly retired. We exchange experiences and views while on holiday with other members. I really do not know how many people any of these posts are helpful to but I thought that anyone could look at this site without being a member. By the way not always 5* occasionally 4* and a couple of 3* thrown in, (they were in Venice so we put up with it)!

Can you give my regards to brad an angelina next time you see them?
Sorry don't know anyone called Brad and Angelina but we did meet Barry Manilow in Venice.
