    Creamy stuff
    Sponge bit
    Cherry stuff

    Second sponge bit
    Cherry stuff
    Creamy stuff
    Third sponge bit
    LOADS of creamy stuff
    Chocolate bits and pieces

Go on, go on, go on....

Aye, looks easy enough - I'll have a bash at yer black-forest-cherry-cake.

Couldn't just post a quick recipe with bloke-style instructions could ya?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

hi, mr b.e.....just wanted to ask. I once made a cake that had veg oil in it, but i could sort of taste it and it put me off. can you taste it at all in your cake as i have'nt made anything since with this in. thanks...:)

Hang on while I "test" another bit and

Well, I can taste something, but only in the first bite. It improves considerably with each successive bite.

Can one of you experts please tell us if a small cat could replace the veggie oil with butter if it were so required?

I guess you could use melted butter instead, but cakes made with oil are very moist, if you made it with butter I think you'd probably lose that quality. I can't taste any oil in it. I used 'Mazola' corn oil in mine.
I cut it yesterday, after only 1 day in foil, and it was very good indeed. I've had another piece this afternoon and it has definitely improved further. It's a brilliant recipe - and I've already passed it on to a couple of people! :D

Oh yes. I should start with definitions, if I were you. Be precise. ;)
