From experience, I can tell you that it's fine after 24 hours, better after 48 hours, and, err, all gone after 72 hours.
I made some fudge sauce to go with mine.

mine just came out of the oven and i still have 2 hours to hide it before dh comes home! Just a note for people using the 9" tin instead i did and mine was ready in 1 hr 15 minutes luckily I smelled it so it did not burn. Might just be my oven but worth keeping an eye out

apple pie tray now in oven to placate dh

I just made this cake as it's Dh's birthday tomorrow :) I used a 9 inch cake tin and set the timer for 1 hour 20 mins but it was smelling cooked long before that so I took it out to check and it was done after 40 mins.

I know you say to keep it for a few days but I've got friend round romorrow and I wondered whether it would be ok to eat the same day?

Did you need to add cream to it?

I'm sure it will be fine to eat at any time. :D

And no, you don't need to add cream. You might want to though. ;) I reckon that'd be great, actually.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

It's a doddle, honest. :D Please post pictures of your efforts. :D I'm very impressed that a small cat would attempt such a thing!

Have you got an electric whisk? They make life very easy. It appears that the size of tin can make a big difference to the cooking time - if you need more help with this you'll have to ask someone else as I'm not remotely qualified. :rotfl:

I have just about run out now, so if you need a volunteer to test yours, let me know. ;)
