I would just go and see what the item is - have a look at the envelope or parcel before you pay and then decide whether its something you are needing or had forgotten you were expecting!

Sorry, I haven't been yet - I've been on a little trip to London (to see Regina Spektor - OMG the woman has class and talent galore!!!)

I'll go soon and let you know I promise!!!

Just go along to your local delivery office. Ask if you can see the item , if you don't want it don't pay for it. Stop moaning and get over it.

I work on the front desk occasionally and some people think that the postman makes the rules. It's only a pound for heaven sakes and you can ALWAYS ask for a receipt and send it bank to the person who sent it.

Well that's charming isn't it? I hadn't realised a little winge was offensive!

Every pound saved helps! I'm as MSE as I can be!;)

I did already say I knew it wasn't the postman's fault - hadn't meant to ruffle any feathers!!!!!

I had been told that there was a two week grace period where no charges would be levied if the postage was incorrect.

Good luck and hope you find out what it was!

I just received my article from the post office. I sent off the stamps in the end and...... (drum roll please) it was completely useless!!

I e-mailed a photographer enquiry for my forthcoming wedding around a month ago and one of the photographers has only NOW got back to me, sent me a DVD of his work and forgot to pay for it!!!

What a useless company. Glad I booked with someone else!!!!

Send it back - unstamped (don't forget to delete any reference to yourself in/on the envelope).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Stop moaning-erm well this is a vent board.
  • Last time I got a surcharge letter I went to sorting office to collect it and asked them to show it to me through the glass. I spotted it was junkmail so asked them to send it back.
  • Can i just say tho in th event any parcel has the preprinted postage label on done by the post office and it doe snot cover the cost of postage and you get billed to pay extra upon reciept you can actually contact the post office and complain tell them the post office who did it and they will refund you they did me :0)
Obviously this does not apply if its normal stamps on the parcel..
