I actually called BT and they wanted a lot of cash for re-connection, UNLESS i took up a contract with phone line too, i asked the BT rep who told me to have a look on yahoo today and see for myself, he said he would say no more about it. After reading what he was talking about i see he was looking out for me really, i can not afford the line contract for so long, BT rep said also go to Virgin who do all of it free.

I am leaving the LLU idea for a while and going to try something else.

Heres the yahoo article he told me to read:

Thanks for your time everyone, it was worth the asking!

    So just to be clear...
BT did NOT offer you standard home phoneline at: £127.99
And did NOT offer you that reduced to £29.99 for taking an 18month subscription to various packages

ie as I suggested to you many posts ago ?

Yes, they did offer me the huge price phone line and i said no, they then said it would be 18 months but it would be direct debit (This is without LLU from O2) and i thought about it and said no, then he told me to look on the web.

It was too much £££'s for me at this time.

I don't see the relevance of you mentioning LLU? Without a landline you cannot get any ADSL services, LLU or otherwise. The BT price of around £127 you were quoted for new install or reconnection is standard, if you go via the right route you can get this for £30 but that does involve an 18m contract.
There isn't any way around this.
But if you can then get O2 LLU, with the cashback, mobile discount and current free months, you will effectively be getting your first 12m broadband for about £20.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
