o2 Carphone Warehouse on Dont Get Done Get Dom

Remember that Carphone Warehouse is a completely seperate entity from Telefonica O2 UK - who it seems is who he contacted.
If he's a "CPW O2" customer he will get his bill from Carphone Warehouse, not Telefonica O2 UK.
O2 are clearly realising this is a stupid operation hence any new customers joining via CPW are O2 UK customers by referral, not "CPW O2", which is being phased out (and lots of upgrading customers are automatically migrated)
Well that just about says it all doesn’t it? Confusion reigns!!!0 -
It was also my misfortune to be a CPW/o2 customer a few years ago. When taking out the contract I had no idea of the set up that I had signed up to. It was not until I had a problem and called o2 c/s that it was explained to me that o2 had nothing to do with my account.
CPW were the 're-seller' of o2 airtime, much in the same way as Virgin Mobile use the T-Mobile network. The difference being when you recived your monthy bill it had had the 'o2' label at the top along with CPW, VM bills do not have this. Most VM customers have no idea of the network set up, but then why should they if their account is run correctly.
If you were once/are a CPW/o2 you would understand how easy it is to be confused as to who you have signed with and who you should contact in an emergency.
