:T Pleased for you JJ, my DS has not been sleeping at all well so I'm up half of the night most nights. Been needing to put the heating on low a few times over the last couple of weeks. Glad you have one less worry and that it's all in place ready.

Has it really been 3 weeks since I last posted?

Progress is slow but am gradually getting there, finally got carpet in one of the rooms and one room now has curtain poles and a couple of curtains that were bought for less than £10. Finished filling in the big trench that I dug for the water mains yesterday just in case we get an early frost. Although we have heating in the house it is still cold due to a hole above the front door which I will have to temporarily fill in and also no insulation above half of the ceilings. I hope to start putting some in over the next few weeks. I hate the stuff, makes me itch for days.

The police are looking at additional evidence that we have given them and there may be news in the next week. The original builder is now also being taken to court by another organisation. I'm trying to move on from it so I am putting less time into the case than I was before. My wife is now looking for work and I am also considering taking on additional evening work so that we can repay some of the debt. Not ideal but it's the only way I can stay positive and see a way out of this.

You're doing rally well mate, and it sounds as thought the whole family is pulling through. You can be very proud of yourselves.

Although none of us would say we wanted these things to happen (obviously) there is sometimes a benefit which we hadn't realised at the time. And be prepared to go through some different phases of anger and acceptance and stuff.

I SO hope your builder gets his, in a big way. No-one will cheer louder than me.

I forgot to mention that the show finally aired on Monday, just watched it and it made me cringe. I was so nervous when they were filming so I hope I managed to get my thoughts across.

I haven't done as much on the house recently but I have started the insulation and guttering. I am finding it hard to do my day job then spend every evening decorating.
