Hi all ... Went to the counselling and it really did help big time .... It's amazing how someone not connected can see to the heart of a situation almost instantly but how someone emotionally involved can struggle ...
The counsellor and I discussed at length various things that I have been having issues with ( last night for instance) ... Now I knew exactly what some of them are ( like last night ) but other ones I wasn't able to see it .... It appears I have issues with being dis respected .... I've always known this and truth to tell rarely suffer from it cause I nip it in the bud .... But my hubby having known me for over 23 years knows exactly what buttons to press ( like last night) to make me go nuts and react in a knee jerk manner .... Due to me feeling hurt
So what I am going to do is treat him the same way I would treat anyone else that I feel disrespects me .... I have always given him more Lee way ... I have always allowed him that bit more space .... I am not going to knee jerk react anymore I am however going to ensure that he is under no illusions about where I stand in regards to respect0 -
I am really glad that you are getting some support there. I hope that you are able to make the changes you have identified, and that things get a bit easier for you.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Tonight we went to see stomp .... It was ok nothing great but not the worst either ... We landed up in a pub after the show and hubby got a bit nasty .... So we argued in front of our friend that went with us for five mins then continued on the journey home ( friend got the train in and back) by the time we got home it had escalated into a much worse arguement with me eventually telling him to move out tomorrow .... But he kept at it till eventually I left .... I don't think we will last till January at this point but I do know if it continues like this we will land up hating each other and I truly don't want that .... Right now I feel very sad
