sunday we went up dumyat in stirling ... it was a lovely day ... the hill looked gorgeous the company was great... i have tickets to go see stomp tonight so i am looking forward to that too ...

still no books sold though bah humbug

and it is getting more into winter and if i am to continue going up hills etc i will need winter stuff ... the boots come to £185 the crampons £110 the ice axe £90 each gloves £45 jacket trousers tops i havnt even looked at yet ... but i am sure they are scary as well .... i dont want to be a fair weather walker but i dont have that kinda money to go into the hills safely and it aint worth it doing it any other way .... then ofcourse there is the same again for hubby... so i am starting to think the walking will need to be knocked on the head for a wee while sadly

El, check out freecycle! I'm sure those things do the rounds - but they might be really popular, you'd have to log on a lot ... and ebay and charity shops too. The stuff can be quality, but it doesn't have to be brand new... think of the way Hypno sells on her kids' skis.

very true kc ... i have been checking freecycle out and ebay ... they are a wee bit cheaper (some of them ) on there ... will check out the charity shops too (never thought about that .. thanks) .... have been doing some research on the things i need ...mainly boots and crampons etc... i stupidly thought my brand new boots would have done (they cost me a fortune) ... but they have to have a crampon rating ... mine are currently b0 i need to have atleast a b1 with a crampon rating of c1 to match ... it's shocking though how much they are charging for these things brand new so second hand is gonna be the way forward i think

Tonight we went to see stomp .... It was ok nothing great but not the worst either ... We landed up in a pub after the show and hubby got a bit nasty .... So we argued in front of our friend that went with us for five mins then continued on the journey home ( friend got the train in and back) by the time we got home it had escalated into a much worse arguement with me eventually telling him to move out tomorrow .... But he kept at it till eventually I left .... I don't think we will last till January at this point but I do know if it continues like this we will land up hating each other and I truly don't want that .... Right now I feel very sad

Well I landed up sleeping on the couch .... Have had hubby several times now asking me if we can sort things out ... He has been vomitting with nerves and is constantly crying .... I really do feel for him .... But just because he has doesn't mean that I will put up with things the way they are at the moment

I'm going to the counsellors just now ... This should be interesting lol

And in good news .... I have sold a book .... Will get it wrapped and sent tomorrow

El - just wondered if it's worth keeping a mini-log of the good and bad days/events, it's just at the moment there's so much emotion flying around it can be difficult to distance to make the right decisions. You had such a good day walking together, and then this. Maybe something like that would help when it comes to making your decisions.
