Hi El, just having a catch up, how are you doing? The stuff a couple of pages back about the books/health/hormones etc I found really interesting. How have you found the shred DVD?

In my little circle of friends we are all very different so when we meet up we take it in turns to decide what to do. It can be a meal, drinks, evening at someones house etc. That way we get all our 'tastes' catered for and because we dont do it very often it gives us chance to budget for it. My bugbear was always that as I was the only one with children (I had mine young) whatever we did was not child friendly which meant organising babysitters etc. So my choices could be a picnic at the park or something like that. Now that we are getting older and a few friends are married I suspect that we will be doing more child friendly things in the future!

    Hope you are well x x x

shred is good i just havnt had the time to even do 20 mins ... that does sound like a cop out doesnt it ? i am working 5 night shifts this week and then going for training through the day so when i come home i am shattered (usually been awake by then 18 plus hours) so i fall into bed sleep a few hours then head back out to work ... then to another training day ... i am also too tired to do it before i go back to work at night as well ... night shift is such a killer on the body ...

i am going to do it next week before i go for my holidays ... but i think i will get more back into it when i come home ... will keep you updated though

Could you be the one to start providing lunch at home? They may not realise just how good veggie food could be, and you might inspire them! At least you will be spending the money on things you know you will be happy to eat, and also it's only fair that, after so long lunching on their terms, they can eat on yours!
Or... as it's summer, you could all take a picnic each and go to some beauty spot or park?

thingis i am very lucky in that i have some friends that are just as skint as me and that do enjoy veggie food ... so yes they do come over for lunch ... but they are few ...in general on the whole the friends enjoy going out for a meal ...

picnic is something i have never really thought about probably cause it rains so much here we barely have a dry day ... think the last one was the begining of june would be lovely though

I've been thinking about this one too. I like to try somewhere different at times and perhaps a little organic cafe would be nice. They often do a good range to suit all tastes and you could bring in your interests re organic way of life. It may start a new venture for you all- and if there isn't a cafe, well you could perhaps start one as well :)

its deff something worth thinking about bob ... not sure if it is practical just now ... but i am actively trying to get an organic food co-operative up and running ... have been phoning friends and talking to people about this idea

I'd ring them on the quiet and talk ingredients......if only for a one-off portion of vegetable biriani for one.....;)...and imply the whole booking may depend upon it :D

it was a great idea wol ... but they cant fit in my needs ... i have decided not to go for the lunch ... i want to go but i am not going to go this time ... they are going for a walk in the nature park after the meal ... might try and go for that instead i think

hey all ... am doing my 100 day challenge so far it is going good ... i have been diarising my food intake etc and writting down (o) next to the foods that are organic ... i am plesantly surprised how much has a little (o) next to it ...

am night shift this week ... doing my first ever 5 in a row night shift for this company ... it take alot out of me i can tell you ... but i have two more days to go then i am off till 20 th august or something (thankfully) ...

have decided not to go for the lunch with the guys from the nature park ... i would love to go but they arnt able to suit my needs ... and being so early in the whole trying to go organic i am a a bit concerned that if i accept non organic non veggie just now then i will always accept it ...

i have a lunch with a friend on monday as well... she always wants to go out but i am going to text her later and explain the situation and give her the option to either cancel or have lunch at my house ... i can easily make her non organic meat dishes if she wants ... i will give her the choice of what she wants whilst ensuring my choices are there as well ... that though means i need to clean my house lol

ok i know this may be t.m.i for some people but here i go ... i have my period and it isnt nearly as bad as it has been previously ... now this may or may not be due to the whole new way of life ... i dont know .. but if it is working i am not stopping

i have been sticking to this whole new way of eating living etc ... things i have done

eaten organic as much as possible
taken as much plastic out of my life as possible (still alot to do on this)
ensured i have eaten plenty beans ... veg... fruit to help with the bloating oestrogen fibrin etc
excercised (not as much as i would like) as much as i have been able to
    de stressed every day
had lymphatic drainage massages three times a week
finally finally put me first for a change (this is the biggie ... still needs some work though)
taken molasses for the blood loss
vit b complex for the bloating etc
aspal apple cyder vinegar to help get rid of excess fat cells

its all still a work in progress but i am making the effort

yeah taxi ... it may be hard work initially but i think it will pay off in the long run ... have started googling dr organics at holland and barret ... much much cheaper than other places ... wish it all came in no plastic bottles though ... i didnt realise how much we have come to rely on plastic till i tried not to have plastic

p.s did that book arrive yet?
