See a thread on the Nuicance Call website by Google'ing BCS Multimedia.....

We've been victim, wider spread than you think and part of a large scam ring. These scammers are sending out 10,000 - 15,000 letters a month and so are making an awful lot of money by those companies not checking or pay to get rid of them.

TAPA are currently investigating as are the OFT, Action Fraud, CAB, basically everyone is joining forces due to scam becoming huge.

In our experience, the companies that have tried it on are:

- BCS Multimedia / Commercial, Legal & Financial (CFL)
- UK Business Link Media (Sounds like gov't run Business Link to fool you)
- Wilson Haines

If in doubt during any phone call, HANG UP!

I contacted TAPA today about some different companies, not BCS, selling advertising space that I was worried about. They advised me that the liklihood is that I will continue to be bombarded by these companies and they may try and fabricate evidence that I had agreed to all-sorts.

Low and behold, I have this afternoon received a telephone call from BCS telling me I agreed to purchase advertising space and thatmy payment was overdue. Apparently they have a recording of me agreeing to the 'contract'.

It might just be me but I find it really hard to believe that I have received this telephone call just hours after calling TAPA who promised to 'make it all go away'.

I have reported all to the police and trading standards, so I will have to watch this space as to whether an invoice arrives.
