Profiles (at least on Facebook anyway) can be set so that certain friends can only see certain things.

300 miles is not far. Men travel much further than that for encounters with children (look at the men who travel to thailand for sex with children).

Please don't under-estimate the risk to your child, and don't take matters into your own hands by contacting him yourself.

Go to the police.

The police ARE very much interested in stuff like this.. we had an incident recently where a 25 year old man was after interfereing with my 15 year old daughter.. the police were on to him like fleas on a dog so don't think they won't take this seriously they will.. very much so! This is what they are paid for.. keeping people safe!!

It isn't just your own daughter you are protecting it is other peoples daughters as well!

My OH drove 100 miles to meet me so don't think people won't do it.. he also drove 240 to meet another online friend.. and even flew to another country to meet some online friends.. the world isn't such a big place really.. this guy could be on your doorstep in just a few hours!! .. and who is to say he isn't really 44??? We can say we are anything we want online.. who is to know?.. you said your daughter was truthful about her age but she could just as easily said she was 25...

I've travelled 200 odd miles to meet people offline. One of them doesn't live that far from me.

exactly i used to travel from Manchester to the kent coast to visit my now wife when we was first seeing each other which was roughly 300 miles, it really is not a vast distance these days so i really think you need to get the police involved as soon as possible

I think you should ring the network provider and tell them about the situation some network providers can't block numbers from contacting you but will give you the option to change your mobile number free of charge they can also put you in contact with the police which is another good idea because how many other 13 year old girls is he doing this with that could possibly be more naive about taking pics of themselves in their underwear.

You have to do something. It would also be a good idea for you to maybe log onto your daughters account and wait for him and chat to him like you are your daughter?

Do not try and check history on the PC - this might damage the integrity of the history files
Do not try masquerade as your daughter online - this might be regarded as entrapment, or might frighten the other person off and the trail get lost

Both could jeopardise a prosecution.

Go to the police, be prepared to hand over phone, computer, and daughter for examination.
