LOL! Does the Glace icing go hard? And can you decorate that?

basic glace icing (water and icing sugar) on some buns

still prefer to use buttercream for most cakes though, as i hate the taste of sugarpaste, and nine times out of ten, if im making the cake, i also get to eat it at some point,, so its purely self-indulgent lol

ive no idea, where you would find push-ups in the uk

but most supermarkets sell smartie push-up icecreams, so you could utilise the pots for those (but it would mean having to eat quite a few icecreams lol)

if you bought from the US, you could have them within the week

    Hi
Am planning to do a sort of sweetie house for dd's birthday (sort of like the Hansel & Gretal house).
Was thinking of covering it in a ganache first but am concerned at the thickness of the chocolate.
Does anyone know if its possible to make it thicker like a frosting so it will hold the sweets and stuff on?

    Thanks so much x

i take it you are making a cake base, rather than gingerbread?

whipped ganache should be ok, but depending on the weight of the sweets, even buttercream would have trouble holding then vertically

    Hi
Sorry yes a cake base, I was thinking of just small sweets, like dolly mixtures, just on the roof?
