Hope you get something sorted soon - sounds like the guy was a serial conner. Some people are so cheeky and will try anything to make a few bob at other peoples expense

I realise this is too late to help you but hopefully others can benefit from your misfortune.

I sell laptops on ebay and invariably this requests translates as "I'm paying with a dodgy card, so ship it quickly before anyone realises it's stolen". I've had a couple of these requests and they are very, very persistent to get you to ship it as quickly as possible including one chancer who called about 8 times one evening.

In reality, I suspect that your phone and the money have gone and all you can do now is report it to the police and try to sort out the financial mess it has left you with.
