I've been gardening on the allotment this afternoon, and have prepared the bed where I intend to plant strawberries. I also weeded loads, and picked lettuce leaves, spring onions and radish. Looks like the round carrots and the broad beans will be ready next weekend. Yum.
We have almost all of our vegetables still waiting to go outside. It is still so cold. When we can pick our first food we will really be celebrating. I am trying not to be jealous.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Bird boxes make lovely gifts. Does he have one of these?

I've got lots of potted up runners if you want to meet up somewhere?
I've achieved loads in the garden but not finished, drank too many glasses of prosecco to finish now so will get back out there in the morningThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
thanks Dusty for both ideas - i will add them to my list to check out - they have a huge huge area and i know i have given the kids bird boxes but not sure if DB has one. I was thinking along the lines of a polytunnel or something like that - they have hens, and horses and are thinking of pigs and grow all their own veg and loads of fruit

Evening all,
Just posting before the new thread comes up, to say I'm still alive, but somehow manage to have missed posting again this week. Sorry!
Have voted for FFP's MRMac (every little helps).
Nice to see toots is back home.
Glad you're having such a good time finding the baby stuff rach - I'm still very excited about finding wedding stuff too and I've got ages to go yet.
Spent the whole of Tuesday doing washing and making the most of the good weather that we had that day, as I wasn't at work, and have managed to get through most of the coloured stuff - just the white mountain left to go now. Other than that, it hasn't been a particularly productive week in the traditional flying sense, but have sent off for my new passport, and paid off more of the honeymoon, and found a new website for my bridesmaid to look for dresses on. Also did the food shop today, and managed to pick up lots of bargains in the reduced section that should keep me going for quite a while.
Went out to karaoke on Saturday night with ex colleagues from my last school, which was lovely - I was even brave enough to get up and sing a song all on my own, stone cold sober! It went ok, but the DJ had turned some sort of reverb on (made it hard to hear) and the words were coming up slower than they were meant to (good job I knew them), but everyone said it was good - I sang The Power of Love (Jennifer Rush). Didn't get home until 1am, so had a lie in until 11am, when another ex colleague texted to ask if I wanted to come over, so I went around for tea and a catch up.
Oh, for those of you who were around through all of my troubles at my last school - the lady who has taken over from me, has just handed in her resignation after 1/2 a term there, citing in her letter that the way the school was run meant that she wasn't able to exercise her professional judgement, and she felt that she had no choice but to leave.:T Another person to add evidence for the governors that this management team should be ousted.
Well Moon is back from shooting, so I'm off to put the tortellini on for dinner - quick meal needed (only takes 1 minute to cook lol).
Hugs to all who need or want them, particularly LadyLiberty if you are reading this. I wish there was more that I could do to help you.
All my love,
