happy rest-of-your-birthday 'mums'
Got in from INSET and book shopping - I LOVE spending other people's money and managed to sneak in extras for my class...and fell asleep on the sofa until DD walked in loudly complaining someone had used her smoothie maker (proper one which lives in the kitchen) - er yes I let DS make a smoothie. Wish I had supervised him more closely though as he didn't 'quite' shut the freezer because a drawer wasn't shut properly. Still spotted it fairly quickly and the warning light's gone off now. *roll eyes*
Eye still twitching (from yesterday I think- stressy day again) - Oh and I got my pub lunch bought for me as I picked a colleague up on Monday then took her home yesterday as she'd been on a residential. But moneysaving as we picked from the 2-for-1 menu. I picked scampi.
met new colleague who'll join us in Sept - gave him a union form and the spiel...
But then I perked up, ironed the washing I'd put out earlier and cleaned the bathroom.

Thank you to everyone on here for inspiring me to have a lovely tidy/semi clean house especially to the wonderful ladies who organise this thread. I have an enquiry tomorrow and instead of mad cleaning tonight I have planned next weeks menus (again unheard of in this house) Now all I need to do is to apply it to my paperwork lol.

Hi
**runs in to grab list**
ooops......haven't posted yet this week...:o
Try again then...
Hello Everyone!
Blimey, where has this week gone then?
Not been flying this week - too many other things going on (have been trying to keep up with thread though, usually when eating or having a coffee). Just been too busy to post, sorry....
Hope everyone is OK..... I have some hugs here somewhere, if anyone needs one.....
Well, what a week.... I have DS3 away with school for 3 days, so the dynamics between DS1 & DS2 are different...quite pleasant for a change  - DS3 is usually the peace-maker when all 3 are together, but when the other 2 only have each other to play with, they can actually get along, surprise, surprise!
DS1, in his wisdom (being 11, nearly 12), decided that he didn't need to go to the detention handed out by PE teacher 10 days ago , because he didn't think he had done anything wrong . Not only that, he (quite bravely, I thought) went & discussed it with his Head of Year, only to be told that the HofY agreed with the detention & told him he should go.
DS1 still didn't agree..... and also didn't bother to tell us about it.
I only found out when I found the slip in his bag, 10 days after the fact.
He now has a 2nd detention for missing the 1st. Has had me giving him serious talkings to for 3 days, and now, I think, realises that he is not in charge, that when he is at school, the teachers are in charge...when he is at home, his father & I are in charge...and that if there is something he is not happy about he needs to talk to us about it, not just ignore it !
I wanted to really come down hard on him to try & shock him into not getting himself into this situation again (it's his 1st year in big school & generally he has settled in quite well, bless him), but decided not to punish him (I think me talking to him over last 3 days has punished him enough).
I gave him a big hug when he got in from school tonight & told him he always needs to tell us how his day has been, good or bad, so we can help if he needs us to, even if it means punishment
I think he got the message......(it's difficult to tell TBH, all 3 boys have a hard shell to protect themselves but it's just like an eggshell, easy to crack if you get it in the right place.....)
DS2 has had problems this week as well.....he's being bullied/ostracised (sp?) by his year.....I'm not sure I have the strength to go into that with you at the moment, but thankfully his teacher is sorting it...we've had this before & it was getting better, but the warm weather seems to have set them off again.....
Oh well, flying...not a lot done so far, but kids away at Nana's for Bank Holiday weekend :j:j:j so I will do a little flying inbetween meals out with DH, cinema with DH, and staying in with DH
I was going to post list, but it's easier to say what I have done, not what is left so...
[STRIKE]s&s kitchen[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]hoovered hall, kitchen, LR & DR[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]cleared DR table, replaced cloth[/STRIKE]
Sorry for the long post peeps
Catch you later....
NotsoI'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSEso just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying
