I too am an addict! We dont have a garden only a little area on the roof where we can put a few pots. Last March we finally got half an allotment and after running out of space have managed to borrow a bit of a friends plot which has now turned into another half a plot that we are allowed to have as they dont need anymore :) We have now run out of space there too!

As to tomatoes well we have 9 plants growing down the allotment and 6 on the roof of 100s and 1000s variety, a friend said that with two plants last year they had way too many toms, looking at the amount of flowers I can well believe it, must start digging out the recipes for them. I also have put in 10 courgette plants I think we may have a glut of them aswell, oh yes and have also planted 150 sweetcorn plants but again had more left over with no room for them which I managed to swap wth someone down the allotment for some rhubarb wine, see it does have its benefits!

Our other addiction is the seeds and I am dreading August bank hols as thats when Wyevale reduce their seeds to 50p a packet then they go down to 10p and OH is worse than me and cant drive past the garden centre which is less than a mile away without calling in to pick up a few more packs, well its healthier than other obsessions I suppose!

I've spent a fortune in plants in the last two weeks. It's all my sister's fault - she bought a house with a 180 foot almost bare garden a couple of years ago and is gradually planting it up. So we are now doing the rounds of our local (and more distant.....) garden centres. I don't have to buy, but it would be rude not to keep her company ! ;);)

Oh gawd! I just bought some MORE seeds.....! Still.... I did get three packs free when I bought three packs from Alan Romans.... Hmm I think I have gone mad as I grow stuff and some of it I eat but other stuff (Like potatoes) I'm scared to! What's up with me? LOL

Still can't wait to try my strawberries though! I just got the new J parker catalogue...May take a perusal later :)

I get a bit scared of growing certain things sometimes, but try to give it a go anyway. Try the potatoes, soooo easy, don't know why I didn't think to do it earlier! :D

Nooo, not a new J Parker catalogue! I may have to stalk the postie tomorrow and see what delights she has for me! :rotfl:

Garnet lady- I grew them, I just couldn't eat them! I don't know why! My brain went a bit mad I think! I won't tempt you with the Jparker catalogue but it is LUSH!
