Just got my £37 Sky sub down to £18.5 for 6 months. Told them I really like Sky but my neighbour has all the sports (same as me) for just £22. I don't want to leave but business is business and with all my costs going through the roof (elec, gas etc) I have to go with the cheapest.

They tried to give me some bull that NTL actually uses SKY feeds etc and I said I really don't care which company delevers the football/cricket as long as I can watch it.

Savings of around £110 for a 10 min call - give it a try folks!

PS. This is the second time I've done this is the last 18 months
  • Inspired by this thread I phoned to cancel my package and said I was going over to freeview, they offered me the basic package for 75p per month, saving of £31pm, and if I need to,I can still access the Box office films as I need them, Thanks for the info. Alan

Since when is the basic package £32 per month ?
  • I'm on the £21 package and having said that NTL were offering a more attractive package Sky eventually agreed to halve the cost for 6 months :)
  • Thanks for this, I have just rung and told them I could get a better offer from Telewest. They have just added the film package to my package that I had (£21) per month for £17.50 per month for the next six month. The nice gentleman I spoke to also recommended 2 box office films and said that if I didnt like them just to ring up and they would refund the money I had paid. Well of course I am not going to like them now :o)
