Exam is not far away, but you're doing well! Yeah, had a look at M&S but didn't like any though found a couple of nice one on Debenhams website. She doesn't have a budget, I have as I said I would get it for her. The wedding cost them a lot anyway, so I will help them out. I refuse to buy expensive present for my brother, already got a digital picture frame for them on the January sales and planning to take lots of pictures and give them the memory card as well.
Have a good day everyone, It's gonna be a busy one for me!0 -
Thanks for the exam well wishes, I didn't do any reading last night as I knew I just wouldn't take it in
I have been racking my brains for your mum Kavics and BHS? Maybe even Matalan, both have some nice dresses in at the moment
Just been and done scratchcard - 10p and had an email from ebay saying that it is free listing day this sunday :j, am going to see what I have got to list and save anything I want to start at more than 99p for Sunday. My boss is in today so am hoping he will give me that dratted £4 syndicate money and I am going to be cheeky and ask if I can claim for my parking the day I was really ill at college, normally I walk as it's only 15 minutes from me but there was no way I could have walked there that day! The parking was £4.60 so I am hoping he will say yes.
Am popping into town at Lunch to post something heavy for work so I can claim for that postage and parking, also going to pop into bank and see if I can change the amount on my SO to payplan, it is due to come out next Monday so it should be enough time.
Got to pop to Tesco after work tonight as we have run out of some essentials (already!!). Bread, milk, Rice, Veg, Soup etc, budget is £20 and it is coming out of the money that OH gave me anyway.
Think thats it for now, catch up with you all later x

I have a love/hate relationship with Fleabay, it's very true what they say, that you can sell almost anything on there but I hate the time it takes to photgraph and list. Generally I do it in batches or 5+ items then it means they all end about the same time so I make less trips to the post office and once I am in the swing of it, it's not so bad! Thanks for the BHS suggestion, found a couple of dresses already, emailed them to mum!
:T Excellent, hope it helped and I am pretty sure you can get cashback through Quidco as well
Not much going on today with money making, only a 5p one poll survey and the usual 10p on scratchcard. All of my ebay listings say I only post to the UK but someone asked me if I would post to Greece today, I don't mean to be rude but did he not read my auction?!!? Have politely said no as it would cost too much! did manage to finally get the £4 from my boss :j, I think he was amused by my threatening pink letter :rotfl:.
Blew the shopping budget by £8although quickly realised that I spent almost a tenner just on chicken and rice! Wont complain too much as OH did give me £30 towards shopping the other day so that covers it. They didn't have any decent cards or the birthday cake I wanted either so will have to stop at the mahoosive Tescos near work tomorrow.
A friend text me as I was leaving work, I have known her for years and we used to work in the same pub, she has been working 4 jobs as she hit some financial trouble but has just had a big payrise so is giving up her job at a pub that drive past on my way to and dfrom work. I mentioned to her a while back that I might have to get a second job again and she has asked if I am interested in taking over from her at the pub she has left. From what I gather it is Saturday night one week and Sunday night the next, £10 an hour if I do it on a self employed basis. I am so torn by what to do, I really thought I was past the point of having to do a second job but on the other hand it's only one shift a week and will be a significant amount more towards the debt repayment fund. Just irks me a bit I guess - I know I should be grateful for the opportunity but I hope someone understands what I am saying
I have asked her what the people there are like, they might not even want me there but I think I might have to do it, even if it's only for a few months to get some funds together. OH says I have to do what is best for me.
Hmm x

Well today is my last day in the office until next Tuesday afternoon and I have this sinking feeling I am going to be here until quite late
Still got to get OH a birthday cake and card and then wrap his presents when I get home but at least we can have a lay in tomorrow
10p again today on the scratchcard but that's it so far, have about £24 of bids on Ebay so far which is nice, hoping they will go up a bit more yet.
Not much else to report apart from hating being stuck inside when it is so lovely out. My friend is giving the pub landlord my number so just got to wait and see if they call.

I think I would go for the second job. As you said, it's not many hours and only one evening per week, and it can bring you some extra income. Asked OH what he would do, and he said the same. Think about it, see how it can affect you financially and than decide.
It's lovely outside, I love my job these days:). I work with children and I encourage outdoor play all the time. And I can refer back to the EYFS why it is so good for them
.
Jealous about lying in tmrw, I decided not to go to the gym either so can sleep until 6.45. OH is off work with chest and sinus infection, more like man flu tbh so he is well rested and relaxed already...

bah! I work in an office and have a window seat, so can see the sun, but not feel it with this air-con blowing down my back..Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Hi all,
Just a quick post to apologise for not being around much! Was OH's birthday on Friday, had a horried day Saturday (which is a story for another time) and have spent the past two days revising solidly and have been very stressed and have gone through random outbursts of crying and tantrums.
Still feeling very negative about it and just want to get it out of the way.
It's tomorrow morning so will hopefully come and catch up with you all tomorrow evening
