    Hi Annie ,
Gosh, it's getting harder to keep up with this thread :D.
I went to Rome for my 30st last year, it was great but much smaller city than I imagined. Def 3 days enough for it, we combined it with Venice, Florance and Pisa, staying there for a week, it was lovely, very romantic:p.

Yeah, I remember your dress Keza, it's lovely:). I like simple ones, straight line with small details, if I can post a picture I will show you my dream dress, not like OH wants me to wear it:rotfl:.

Well done on bargain, I love underpaying for staff:). Went to Primark yesterday and bought a couple of lovely tops, paid only £2.50 each. I don't usually like Primark as their dress size never fits but recently lost weight so I look good in their size 8-10 tops:T.

And OH wants a puppy too but I prefer babies:D.

When I first started my dairy I thought I was going to be all lonely, I love having people here, it makes me so much more determined :j

I quite fancy Rome myself, especially Vatican City. Don't know why as I am nowhere near religious but it always looks lovely in pictures and on TV. I went to Barcelona with work in October 08 and so far it has to be my favourite city! It was ncie and warm went we went as well, loads of gorgeous architecture, a great zoo and even a beach. Would highly recommend it for a few days

I haven't been in Primark for yonks, I was trying to think when I last bought clothes and I honestly think it may have been January - in the sales. :p

Tell OH he can have the puppy if you get the baby :rotfl:

Hows everyone enjoying their bank holiday?

Hope the fish tank is ok Jody! typical that things seem to go pearshaped when u havent the time or money! :( xxx

That must have been a hell of amount of peeling! Not really got into the batch cooking, our freezer is quite small and I normally keep it pretty full for keeping OH satisfied!

Dinner has just been put in front of me so I'll do a proper message in a bit :D

OK time for a proper update!

Got up at 11.30 am like the lazy mare that I am and wondered into front room and looked at tank (which is what I do every morning) and instantly I knew something was seriously wrong. Some of my corals were really listless and looked like they weren't far from death and the fish were gasping :(. I knew that it was in the middle of what us fish geeks call a 'crash' which basically means total wipeout. Ran into bedroom and woke other half up and was like 'there is something really wrong with the tank' and bless him, he shot out of bed and put his jeans on. I put the heater in the bucket of water I had alredy mixed (thank god for my to do list) and started getting another bucket of water salted. I am racking my brains to think what could have caused it, normally crashes happen when a toxic fish or coral dies, no water changes have be done for ages or some other chemical contamination.

Suddely dawned on me that after painting my nails last night I used a drying spray to make the polish set, I did wash my hands after but I also moved some corals in the tank because they had been knocked over. Nothing else had been near the tank so it had to be that! Started changing water while OH looked at the spray and did some research. It was Acetate poisoning  Apparently acetate can cause major problems in fish tanks as it depletes the water of oxygen. As soon as OH said this I went and stole the airpump and stones from my fish food culture to get some air into the water. At this point I'm almost in tears trying to clean up and work out what else I can do, I have spent many hours on fish forums so had a good idea that the water change was the best solution. Only had enough for two buckets which was about 50% of the water in the tank. Did all that and just had to wait and see what happened.

After a few hours the fish aren't gasping and the corals are back to how they looked last night :j. Looks like I caught it just in time to avoid a disaster! I will have to keep an eye on it for a few days but things seem almost back to normal and touch wood, I wont lose any fish or corals.

Ok, onto the rest of the day!

Made cakes :T, decorated them with sugar animals and dolly mixtures :D. I think there was 16 in the end but quite a few have already 'disappeared' :rotfl:.

Listed a total of 7 things on Ebay and two items already have watchers. Forgot that I also owe Ebay £17 from the last lot of stuff I sold - meh :o

Did scratchy this morning, shame it was only another 10p but every little helps!

Did a £1 survey with opionbar, no idea if I will ever be able to withdraw it as I never seem to get many from them but it didn't take long so was worth it. Also got 25% through another VO survey to be told it was now closed .

Registered with some games site through Quidco for more free cashback and ordered a Tesco simcard - didnt realise you have to activate it to get the cash back though which I wont be able to do - oops.

Did the washing up and have tidied up a bit haven't started revision yet, today has just flown past! About to bug OH to do my hair then might do some this evening as we have already had dinner.

Will grab my to-do list from an earlier post in a bit and see how I got on, think I made my way through most of it :D. Back to work tomorrow, might even try and go in early as I am only in for three days this week and next week.

Hope everyone has had a good bank holiday :j

Phew about the fishtank. Fantastic you managed to notice it in time!

I have one lie in each week where i stay in bed until 10am. Normal mornings my alarm goes off at 6.15am so i can get some time on the cross trainer before 7am!

  • Really pleased you saved your fish.

I think I'm more jealous about the lie in now than the holidays! We managed to 9am the other Sunday - the baby has been waking up at 5am for the last couple of days and other than that the best she's managed is 7am (I can't complain really she does sleep all night)

Well done on clearing so much of your to do list - I can't even be bothered to make one!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Yep, 5.50 for me :D. Cycle to gym close to work (30 min), than on treadmill by 6.35:D. I used to go in the evenings but figured out that over the summer I rather socialize:rotfl:. With OH as that's the only way it's MSE. Have a good Monday everyone!

What dogs have you got LMRH? Two dogs and a baby does sound very time consuming, perhaps you could train a dog to feed, wash and clothe the baby - would save you lots of time :D. I agree on the holiday savings, I adore holidays, I had some proper rubbish ones when I was younger but the last couple have been fab and it makes me want to go away more (much to OH's dismay - he gets quite homesick!)

There cross breeds with a little bit of lots of dogs - they are brother and sister from the same litter but look completely different, the male is big ginger and looks like he might have some some german shepherd in him the female is little and black with some white bits and looks like a sheep dog.

If I could get them to look after the baby I would! I keep saying we should get them into adverts they can earn us some money:D

    Hi all :D

Yes, I am a bit selfish with the lay ins! I went through a phase of waking up at like 9am on a weekend but I try not to :rotfl:. I used to go to bed at around 10.30pm latest but OH is a night owl and I have found my body clock mirroring his, very unusual for me to be in bed by 11pm weeknights and it's normally about 1/2am at the weekend

Checked the fish this morning and they seem ok so am hopeful the worst is over :)

LMRH the dogs sound lovely, I really like German Shepherds - we had one when I was younger, he was a rescue dog and had been treated so badly but he was a big softie. Unfortunately he got throat cancer and we had to have him put to sleep when he was only 8, it broke my mums heart :(

I have already done scratchy for today - another 10p and realised yesterday was an NSD so have updated my sig :T. My mum has been on MSN to me all morning telling me what she has found in my old room that might be suitable for Ebay, I might be an Ebay millionaire at this rate :rotfl:

Will catch up with you soon.
