    Morning campers!

Another shift done and dusted :). It wasn't too bad last night, bit slow at times but it's £52.50 in my purse. Not sure how much, if any, of it I can put to savings as I have just under £50 left in the bank and I don't get paid until next Thursday. Petrol costs me around £5 a day to work and back and I need to fill up tomorrow so I'll need £45ish of petrol till payday and I need to get some shopping really as well, hmmm, bit tight at the moment. I do have the £15.01 cheque from music magpie to come and I have £15 in change so my plan is to add that to savings for now and live off pub and bank until payday, hopefully I will have £20/£30 left to put aside. Biggest factor is my net increase from my payrise which will hopefully mean I can put at least another £100 away. And I almost forgot that I have about £50 sitting in paypal although I might use that for Xmas gift buying.

Need to get organised today, lots of ironing in the cupboard, some bits to put on fleabay and lots of revising to do .

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend

    Hi Jody

Hope you didn't spend all day doing chores.

Sensible move keeping the pub money to tie you over until payday, it doesn't help to leave yourself short.

Yesterday wasn't too bad, changed fish water, did some chores, listed another 6 things on Ebay and did some serious study! Feeling a bit better about the revision now, still have 4 weeks until that particular exam so lots of practice time left, need to start revising for the other exam soon though

Not much else to report, managed to resist the Debenhams online sale :D, put loads in my bag then realised I didn't actually need any of it so left the site! Not really sure what else I need to get for Xmas so better have a proper think about it.

Got a few more Ebay bids so hopefully that will provide some extra earnings. Would be behind target for savings if I didn't have the payrise so need to knuckle down and be saving savvy for next 2 months, especially as I will miss 2 pub shifts in December due to exam and it being Xmas day. Hopefully still looking pretty much on target though, just waiting to hear about my year end bonus but it might not be for a few weeks yet :(

    Hi

Well done for resisting the sale!

Make a list of what you have for each person for Xmas so you can think about it clearly and don't end up buying lots you don't need x

I've alredy done this! I think I am at the point of thinking I don't have enough so I end up buying 'stuff'! I am determined not to do that this year so I need to think very carefully about what I am buying. I think my daughter almost has enough factoring in Centre Parcs, I have quite a few bits for OH but nothing of particular significance if that makes sense? MUST get something else for my mum and maybe a little something for my brother....then just work colleague and my secret santa person...........and there I was thinking I was almost done :rotfl:.

Think I'll be doing an online food shop tonight as we have nothing in the house

Don't fall into the trap of buying more because it doesn't look enough, you need to keep those savings topped up!

Well I definately won't be now.....just had major wobbles about how much I want to go to the Maldives....I don't want....I NEED to go :(. Probably going to sound really odd but I desperately want to be back in the sea with the fish, I can see how people get hooked on diving!

Spent the last 15 minutes racking my brains to see how I can possible make more money to pay off the debt/save to go and I'm not sure what else I can do?!?! I can't take on any more jobs, not with all my study, I'm ebaying everything I can to raise some funds...any ideas? I think I am going to start meal planning again to see if I can reduce the weekly shop but it's such a mission with a boyfriend who eats like there is no tomorrow . I've missed loads of surveys due to being bogged down at work too....*insert small depressed wailing noise*

Not sure if you have a freezer but I recently spent a day batch cooking. I spent £50 in Mr T buying everything I needed and cooked 7 different things and got 35 portions which I froze to use as needed. The fact that I was cooking so much in one go meant that I could buy value bags of carrots/onions etc and took advantage of buy two packs cheaper on the meat. And I am sure with a bit more planning I could have done it cheaper :) Let me know if you want more info or ideas of what to cook.

    Hi Matymoo!

OOh yeah, I would love some ideas! We have a freezer but no microwave so I would have to be organised with the defrosting. OH normally does most of the cooking in our house but when I shop I tend to just buy what is on offer, I don't plan what we will eat or anything :(
