Oooooh - I'm the next town to St Albans... (well sort of, I'm in a village)
My fake wedding would be somewhere remote and beautiful, French Polynesia perhaps, with just me, BF and our kids. No guests, no fuss, then big old party when we got back.
and would wear this:

But if I was doing the deed for the first time I love the idea of getting married on Christmas Eve in a beautiful Castle which is all lit up with candles, and then I would wear a long cream velvet dress and have a fur cape and bridesmaids in ruby velvet...
or perhaps this...

He just kind of went 'oh right, yeah' - sooo not helpful and I don't even know if he was really listening! lol
I know how you feel Jody, my sister has said several times lately that she thinks OH will do it a xmas time, we have xmas, our anniversary, new year, my bday and valentines from 25th Dec - 14th Feb and I'm worried that I will get my hopes up and then be really disappointed if it doesn't happen.
Plus I think all of those 'big' dates are way too predictable for OH too.VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
That 2nd dress is so striking!
I would love an Xmas castle wedding, shame they cost so blinking much
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

we lived in st albans for 4 years (both went to school there as well) and then moved to Harpenden for a year before we moved to Bedford where we are now. That's where DH grew up and we had our wedding reception at Gleneagle Manor. I grew up in Hemel HempsteadLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Small world! I have lived pretty much all over the place (I am like a tumbleweed!) - St Albans is hopefully my next move (such an easy commute). Exes family were Hemel, I lived in Watford for a few years too.0 -

Maybe he was doing his best poker face aswell... you never know he might already have got the ring ready and waiting ;-)
Is there a wedding thread on these forums anywhere if so they need a link to yours Jody lol
