I think another reason that prices change is because your payment is only taken on the day of picking the shopping, so if you order a few days earlier and a price changes in the meanwhile then you would have to pay the price charged on the day for the product.

I know what you mean though about the drivers being busy, they are, normally theres such a quick turnaround time for them like 2 minutes to unload all the shopping and get your signature then they're off, but it does say to call the number on the sheet so maybe Tesco will come to collect any returns when they are next in the area or you could return them to your local store.

Anyways enjoy that rare scottish sun :j

I understand that prices change. The point is the purchase is made when you are online doing the shop, and indeed you are guided by the prices at that time. If you are shopping to a budget then it goes out the window. Due to our lifestyle our shopping is usually around 9pm the night before the delivery, so there is a very tight margin of time between the purchase and price change.
If the price had indeed decreased since the time of purchase I would not expect to have received the items at the reduced price. We are in the position that we can, and will, return the products in question, not just the Pringles I mentioned, there were other products.
I would have thought that the prices charged would be the prices you view online when you are making your purchase and not, as it would seem, when the person is collecting/packing your items the next day. Surely the purchase procedure is time stamped and the prices you are shown are recorded by Tesco..... only to have them charge you the shelf price when their staff are collecting your items...?
The price change was not minor, the price had gone from 99p to £2.... now if you had bought a telly from them, would that be acceptable? A >100% increase in price.....
As I said before, potentially everything in your shopping basket could increase in price and send your grocery bills skyward.
We will be spending our money elsewhere in the future...[/QUOTE]

I think the delivery would well out weigh any over pricing they could come up with.... or even any spend we could come up with...:p

I think its not that difficult to hold the price to what was agreed at time of purchase, would people think its ok to say order a TV from Currys but on the day of dispatch the price had gone up £100 ?
