Public Loos

I don't work in a Supermarket, but I work in a professionl company, full of approximatly 300 people who range from school leaver up to MD in the same building. And I have to be honest, the toilets are RANK! there disgusting. They smell so badly. However, there is a problem with the chain, if you dont hold it down until it starts to flush it doesn't work I like to tell myself its because people don't know about that. The thought of flushing somebody i work withs waste away is just too much for me! And the toilets, ew! Sanitary pads have a bin not a floor!!Learning to be 'good with money'0

I hate public toilets for this very reason, is it too hard to leave something as you found it?
I rarely use public loos, and only if I really have to....and don't even get me started on the number of people who don't bother washing their hands!!!:eek:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I often wonder what these peoples toilets are like at home - do they pee all over the floor, and never flush it?
My 5 year old is capable of going to the toilet, and leaving it in exactly the same state as it was before use. If a 5 year old can manage that, then there is no excuse.
I guess that some people were never properly toilet trained.0 -
Some of you have obviously never experienced the traditional hole in the ground with 2 foot pad toilets in civilised urban France.
Toilets in UK service stations are actually OK compared to those on autoroutes. The man without a signature.0 -
Will never be as bad as when I went the Millennium dome for a new years eve 'rave' , the toilets there were the worst I have ever seen in my life, there was about 2inches in urine flooding the place with drunk people openly urinating in sinks or up walls, the actually lavatories were either over flowing or had been destroyed, even the staff were just going on the floor, disgusting place !
Worst news years party ever !
I'm impressed you were "sober" enough to notice stuart0 -
I used to run a number of pubs and the had to do the cleaning when it was the cleaners day off etc. The ladies toilets were also much worse than the mens. The men might not have always hit the mark at the urinals but the ladies would destroy the toilets most week ends. One night we found a women's stiletto heal stuck into one of the doors. Apparently she was so desperate she was trying to knock the door through and her heal broke off whilst stuck in the door.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

Mine is a horrible story. So don't read it if you're of a sensitive disposition.
I was once returning from the West Highlands to Malvern & made the grave mistake of using the toilets at Buchanan St bus station in Glasgow, one Sunday morning. The worst lavatories ever, the smell of urine would knock you off your feet. Anyway, I was really desperate, dodgy curry the night before (yes, you can buy curry in the highlands ... obviously not good ones, though).
Anyway, sits down, what a relief. And I'm sitting there thinking how wonderful life is, only to look up and find the most enormous hole carved through to the next cubicle. And there's a young guy playing with his "what's the story", he was totally in the buff. Not just a little bit in the buff, this guy was as naked as the day he was born. And he was masturbating for Scotland.
Meanwhile I'm sitting there having the most catastrophic upset stomach I've ever had, with sound effects to match. And I kept thinking "OMG I'm going to get arrested here, I won't even be able to get to the police van without having an accident". I ended up covering the hole with "The Sunday Post", about the only good thing that newspaper's good for.
Spent the rest of my 20 mins in there reading the graffiti, what an eye opener, if "Suzie from Provan" can really do all that she ought to be an Olympic gymnast, that's all I'm saying.
It really was quite bizarre. Couldn't wait to get out the place.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0 -

I have, and I have also experienced the toilets at Glastonbury! Once you have been there, you'll go anywhere.0 -
Well in the office I used to work in, there were regularly used sanitary towels left on the floor next to the sanitary bin.
Also, why did people feel the need to eat their lunch on the loo and leave the debris everywhere?
I used to work in a pub and one of the things we had to do was clean the loos at the end of the night...we all wanted to clean the gents...they might have "hummed" a bit but nothing as scary as the ladies loos...Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
