yes, maybe it was but when the confusion arose due to merges not being done (as you've often mentioned yourself on the boards & reposted a merge request) &

*sigh* Yes, but that was confusion over who to send MR's to as some were actioned and some weren't.

Now, after a week or so of faff, we now know what the expiry is for, and pretty much who to send merges to (unofficially). I suggest we carry on as that until we hear differently.

I also suggest a thread tidy for this thread to clear everything out apart from posts 1 and 44 and then locked, to keep it as simple as possible about what to do. re: expiry/dupes/selfpro.

Mind you, all of this is in the Comping Guide anyway so the last suggestion isnt really needed.

ahh but not everyone reads the comping guide unless someone directs them to the thread for it & then sometimes they don't read it anyway
when I first joined here way back it took me some months to fathom out the boards & find the stickies for the important things,
didn't it you?
we were all new once & think sometimes new threads like this one
repeating things can sometimes help old peeps & new peeps

I don't know, when I emerged onto CompTime, I saw the stickies on the main board and read them, as stickies seemed important. Horses for courses I guess....

Perhaps everyone should have a re-read of them from time to time. I'm not having a dig, before anyone starts getting precious, just saying that refreshers are a good thing. Plus if anything has changed, than VelvetGlove could be notified so the Guide is updated periodically.

If you keep treading over the ground the grass simply won't grow. Can we discuss something else now? Please?

Is it not yourself who keeps bringing it up? You can't control everybody who uses the site. I say leave the horses, courses and grass growing and carry on comping, leave it to those in charge of such matters.
