Help with Gnocchi please...

I used to make my own from scratch, and had to stop when I fell ill, but a year or so ago I came across the "no-fail gnocchi" and TBH it's rather good. I'd give that a go first. Home made gnocci can go a bit grey in the freezer which is another advantage of using this cheat.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

As far as how to prepare it, most people boil it BUT I think it tastes way nicer fried. I fry it in my Tefal Actifry in just a tiny bit of oil until it's a bit browned, but you could also shallow-fry it in a pan. Okay yes I admit it's not as healthy as boiled but it's absolutely delicious fried. To me it tastes a bit gummy and bland when boiled. When fried it's slightly crunchy on the outside, but pillow-soft and kind of fluffed up on the inside. Sorry if I'm leading anyone astray by encouraging frying but every once in a while can't be too bad...0

Thanks guys, some good tips.
When I make some I'll probably do a batch so any advice on freezing and then cooking from frozen?
Thanks again.FTB:A Saving for my first deposit :A0 -
I make mine, chop it up, freeze it on a baking sheet covered with silicon then decant into bags in individual portions.
Works perfectly cooking from frozen.
Large pot of salted water. Tip in frozen gnocchi and bring to the boil. Soon as they float to the top they are done so scoop them out , toss in a sauce and serve.
I also like mine cooked, dressed in a cream, parmesan, garlic sauce and finished in a hot oven till bubbling - looks darn posh too.

I cook the potatoes the lazy way - microwave in jackets - then mash well and season. Then I just work in enough self raising flour to make a workable dough so you can roll it into balls with your hands, and find each time I am surprised by how much flour I need to add
Then just drop gently into a pan of simmering water and cook for a couple of minutes until they rise to the surface. I let them rest on kitchen paper to drain while I cook the rest.
