Someone really needs to tell him that Thatchers not in power and the war's over.
Whover ends up losing their jobs, the Castro lover won't be among them.0 -
Although I'm opposed to the strike, I don't have an issue with this ruling.
After June 12th there'll be no more legal protection for the strikers - so they'll all be sacked if they dispute after that. The problem is soon to be solved0 -

One judge has already allowed their appeal, waiting on the other 2 to decide.
I wonder if Cameron & Clegg in their civil liberties crusade will support the democratic right to strike and condemn the original courts interference on a petty technicality.
De minimis non curat lex.
update...
Unite win appeal by 2-1, so strike back on.
In fairness, I agree with the union on this one. You can't have management dictating the right to strike - we are not in a totalitarian state!0 -

Pyrrhic victory springs to mind. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Not really, because in that case there will be more legal wrangles, and besides, sacked staff need to replaced.0 -

Not at all, the airline needs to cut costs. I've taken a pay cut, worked annual leave, as has most of the company. If it cuts costs by sacking anyone who strikes after June 12th then so be it.
BA needs to trim down, the strikers are accelerating that and making the decisions on how to trim down easier.
Also the ruling doesn't make the current strikes legal. If a court determines them to be illegal then Unite\Bassa have a £60million bill to pay off.0 -

And they'll be replaced on £14k instead of £40k.
Any payouts will be at least year down the line giving BA some breathing space. Willie Walsh is working to a plan, and I think it's going to reach a viscious conclusion very soon0 -
The original injunction was a disgrace.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Sorry speedbird. Should have made myself clearer. I meant pyrrhic victory for BASSA rather than BA.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
