Bedtime tails or bedtime wails?

At the bottom of the stairs in her bed, altough I forgot to shut the livingroom door properly on Tuesday night, and came down on Wednesday morning to find her curled up fast asleep on the sofa, she was very sheepish when I woke her, as she knows she's not allowed up there on her own! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

My lovely boy (dog) sleeps on our bed. In his old home he slept in the kitchen. I'd never previously allowed dogs in bedrooms at all, but when he came home with us the first night he looked so small and lost that I let him come with us to bed and he's stayed there ever since. He has his bed in the hall and sometimes if he's too hot half way through the night he takes himself off there instead. My OH has never had a dog before and is besotted. If the boy is on his side he folds himself up to avoid moving him if the dog is in bed with me first. If he sleeps on my side he has to go to the bottom of the bed.

He wakes us up by lying on whoever's chest is available, staring intently into your eyes silently saying 'Hello, I'm not bothering you, am I? It's just I'm awake now, are you awake now, it's our normal wake up time....?'0 -

I work from home and have to be quiet during the day so that I don't wake her. If I do wake her, she gives me a certain look to put me in my place.
Sometimes I wonder who runs this house.
Have you not worked that out by now! I'm in the same position as you except I have two furry bosses.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -

My cat, Sweepy sleeps on my bed next to me, but if it's cold she gets in and snuggles up.
If she cant compete with my snoring she eventually gets out and relocates to the bed in the spare room.
During the day she bags the fold-out sofa in the back room.
When I die I want to come back as my cat!!!0
