2 giant breed dogs, sleep on a day bed with shortie mattress, baby quilt each in one of the spare rooms (box room) Furthest bedroom from ours as the youngest snores!

They go to bed around 8pm (own choice!) get chucked out for a wee around 10-10.30pm and get up about 8am

I've had my boy-cat Stanley for about two years now and he's never slept on the bed with me although I'd love him to want to. He decided a while back that he liked sleeping on top of the (free-standing) wardrobe in the spare bedroom so I put his cat-bed up there but lately he's discovered a cardboard box in the sitting-room which I'd put there to pack some stuff away in which I'd like to make a a start on but I haven't the heart to now. Maybe he'll find something else he likes and then I can get on with it

We've just got 2 cats and they'll be kept out of our bedroom :-) OH gets a tiny bit "chesty" when he's around them for ages so thought it would be better to keep them out of there.
However their "base" as we're settling them in has been the spare room so suspect they might want to sleep there long term... Will be encouraging them to sleep downstairs though (once we know we can trust them down there alone) as I know our guests will not welcome feline head-jumping at 3am!

More often than not my cat sleeps on my bed. If she doesn't she's always there in the morning waiting for me to wake up.
  • My oldest cat sleeps in my room - the others are usually downstairs. My dog sleeps in my room if I'm home alone otherwise she sleeps in her crate downstairs, I think that it does her good not to get too fixated on sleeping in one place.

She sleeps on three dog beds on top of each other on her own in the living room. She normally sneaks on to the bed about 6am but if she tries any earlier than that she gets sent back to her bed.

3 dogs sleep in the kitchen on a sofa (although I do put a beanbag on the floor in case the oldie can't get up there).

4 cats have the run of upstairs and sleep where they want: on our bed, in the radiator beds, on their own raised bed, landing floor where the hot water pipes run, in the laundry basket...... one sleeps in my arms under the duvet if she wants a cuddle :)
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D
  • my puppy has just started sleeping on my bed with me, i didn't really want her to i wanted her in the kitchen in her own bed but my OH got his own way! She sleeps that clost to me that I have no room in the bed!

My pup sleeps in her crate in the kitchen, she seems to love it and when is very tired at the end of the day would sometimes wonder into the kitchen herself. My cat on the otherhand is supposed to sleep in the hallway, even got him a new bed he prefers, but he can open doors and usually ends up spending the night in my bed and I wake up to the sound of purring.
