Anyone done a Gap petrol station with a diesel car before?

Not happy... got given a petrol assignment to do a burger job miles away - and they've just rejected it saying you can't purchase diesel. Reading the notes it asks to buy a particular fuel type which wasn't available at this petrol station anyway, and then it specifically states "where this is possible given site availability and your car's type / fuel type currently in your vehicle". Now I take that to read if you have a diesel car, you can buy diesel. I thought the main thing they insisted on was that you fill a vehicle and not a container. They kindly said I could pick it up again - doh! My car still runs on diesel... so they'd only reject it again.

I thought I'd asked them the question before, but looking back I think I asked for a REACT job (it was fine). But I'm sure I've put diesel in on a GAP job before. Until a few weeks back I had the diesel car and DP had a petrol one, so I suppose I may have done them all in his car... but I really don't think so.

Last time I agree to do a burger job anyway, unless they just pay me mileage for it. I have replied to their email stating my points - let's see if they sack me now!!

Not having a good week - I did a travel agents last week and forgot to get the stores either side (you'd think after all this time it would be second nature!) - googled it, only to return to the same town a few days later and find one shop was empty! That was queried yesterday - oops! At least I knew by the time they got back to me I suppose!

Then I forgot to do a GFK phone call... I seem to have a mental block when it comes to these, that's the second one I'd forgotten. Thankfully they rang me this time, and managed to reschedule it.

Got a burger job to do today, a coffee job & nice meal tomorrow, then we're off to Latitude for the weekend, yay! Just hope it stops raining....

I knew I had kids for a reason.....signed them both up for jobs! DS2 has 2 underage check jobs on friday and as they turn 18 next week they have signed up for the over 18 checks from next week. Might finally make some money out of them :rotfl:

Well I'm bu**ered then as I have a diesel car and have done a couple of fuel assignments for Gap. I've been paid for them in the past but wonder if i'll be paid for the one I did earlier this week. Hmm.

I'm sure I've bought diesel in the past, and never been queried before. Hopefully I've just got a picky proofreader... I mean it does say at one point in the notes "You must buy petrol", but then there's that bit later on about dependant on car type, etc. The React job notes also refer to petrol all the way through but was told diesel was fine for them... Grrrr.

    (Hope yours get through!!!)

    ....

Every one I've done has been in a diesel. Never had any problem with it before. Might e-mail them myself just to see what they say. Will let you know.

And I've bought diesel for both the fuel companies they cover.

Just done a supermarket for TNS. Was directed to the self service tills as there were no other checkouts open. TNS FAQ's say to email them. It will need to be re-shopped but that I will still be paid for my visit. Have sent the email but does anyone know if I will get the full fee plus reimbursement or just part of it?

Bit annoyed as it was barely worth the trip anyway. Without the full amount it certainly wasn't. Only took it because I had planned to take the dog for a walk nearby but not in this rain!!

How long is it before one can start seeing visits on RE? Registered with them for 3 weeks. Not seen a single visit. Have completed the profile section and have 3 defined shopping areas on too. What gives?
