Just a letter from HMRC saying that I don't have to pay NI contributions from the 11 April to 06 April 2013 but that I have to pay from 28th March 2010 to the 10th April and I've got a bill for £4.80 for NI but in that period I only did two mystery shopping jobs. Surely I don't have to pay that much NI on £10 of earnings. I hate the fact that the telephone number is 0845 UGH.

You might have already phoned them up by now but if not put the tax office phone number into saynoto0870.com - mine's on there and it saves you a small fortune if you need to have a lengthy discussion!

Can anyone who knows who the RE coffee client is please PM me... it's never shown up for me! Thank you...

I've never seen a job on GR, are they like RE where this is pretty standard or should I get in touch with them? I've only been with them a couple of weeks so I don't want them to think I'm a whiner!

GR seem to use a very small postcode area, so on your profile you can add lots of new postcodes, 5 I think. I've added in the postcodes in the middle of my 2 local shopping centres. As soon as I did that I started to see jobs!

When I first registered with GR it was 2 or 3 months before I was offered any work at all!!! I came to the conclusion that they offer work out on a rota basis, but it takes a few weeks until you are included in the rota... so they do tend to offer nothing for the first few weeks/months, but then once you are in the rota it's fairly regular.

That said, I've been offered VERY little in the last couple of months and would be interested to know if anyone else has noticed a decline in jobs offered? I used to work for them regularly, week in week out, but it's been VERY quiet lately.

May possibly just be that there are a few new shoppers in my area and they are being offered the jobs first. It's not just that I'm too slow as you can see what has been offered and the number of jobs offered to me has dropped a lot in the last couple of months.

Also, as Lilme suggested, make sure you add postcodes of shops in your local towns and that way if anything comes up in that area you should be offered it.

I've asked them about this before. In an email back he mentioned a 'young clothes shop' as their client. I was gobsmacked as demographically i'm there perfect client and never seen one.

He said this would change and to 'hang in'. still never seen them.

I know same here. I used to do about at least 3 jobs a month for them and now I'm lucky if I get one a month. Plus they haven't added any jobs in my area since the 5th May.
My mate who lives down road gets different jobs listed to what I get. Strange.

I did email to query it and actually got a phonecall back. Didn't answer my question though - she suggested changing postcodes but that doesn't explain why a couple of shops I used to do month after month have not been offered since last October!

She did mention a clothes shop to me, too. Can't remember the name but may have been the same one you were told about... not surprised I never see it, I think I'm too old! ;)

I had a flurry of them over Christmas and New Year then nothing until last week when I missed a couple of supermarket jobs, but managed to get a travel one today - hopefully they'll pick up again soon as they're one of my fav companies.

Hey just a blonde moment... With burger jobs on Gyp... When it says you can't do 2 assigments in a row does that mean i cant MS Burger joint in Neverland in May and then do it again in june? or does it roll over?do they mean you cant do Buger Joint neverland breakfast and lunch same day?

It means you can't shop the same joint two months running, someone else must have shopped it in between. So if you shop it in May then you can't shop the same place in June, but you can in July if someone else has shopped it in June! Hope that makes sense!
