I've applied for a couple of mobile jobs with gap and they are 'rejected/cancelled'? I have never had this before, why have they gone straight to this status? I did the same locations on 6th April so it would be more than 2 months before the June date I selected.

It could be that they don't get mystery shopped every month so maybe your visit was actually the last one.

Could also be that there is someone else scheduled to do the job and the date they have chosen is too close to the date you have tried to select.

Don't know for sure, these are just possibilities.

on gr i have found you need the exact first 3 digits of postcode to get jobs e.g. i live in nr3 and only ever saw a supermarket despite living one mile from city centre. i added my work address which is nr 1 and got a few more, other shopping centre is nr2 so added that. i now get the city centre jobs. annoying as have wasted 3 postcodes to get jobs within 3 miles of my house. i cant be bothered to leave norwich anymore though so not the end of the world!

also some clients you cant shop if you are a customer, i am now with the red phone shop and updated my profile so i do not see those jobs anymore.

see they have the mobile co now that abai had! speaking of abai i have not seen discount designer since nov or dec :(

on an unrelated point i cannot log onto nationwide through egg today. done it that way so long now i cannot remember my log on details so cannot go direct  so annoyed as i want to look at all my juicy payments :(

GR seem to use a very small postcode area, so on your profile you can add lots of new postcodes, 5 I think. I've added in the postcodes in the middle of my 2 local shopping centres. As soon as I did that I started to see jobs!

I did that too and see lots more jobs now. Though it has been quiet this last month or so. I see the clothes shops and I'm 33 - not sure if there's an age limit on them?

Have never seen the ABAI clothes jobs though - seem to recall someone said they're under-30s only :(

Not exactly mystery shopping, but I received a product to test today from one of the companies on page 1 and was wondering if anyone else had got one too?

They sent me a frozen item packaged in a jiffy bag, and then in a cardboard box lined with polystyrene. It was sent on the 18th from Europe. And it arrived on the hottest day of the year. :D

!!!!!! were they thinking? I know polystyrene insulates but surely not for sending frozen food (runny!) on a several day journey across the continent? The product is one which is available in the shops so it would have been easier just to send a voucher, surely. Nutters. Gave us a laugh anyway. :rotfl:

Hey just a blonde moment... With burger jobs on Gyp... When it says you can't do 2 assigments in a row does that mean i cant MS Burger joint in Neverland in May and then do it again in june? or does it roll over?do they mean you cant do Buger Joint neverland breakfast and lunch same day?
It means you can't shop the same joint two months running, someone else must have shopped it in between. So if you shop it in May then you can't shop the same place in June, but you can in July if someone else has shopped it in June! Hope that makes sense!

In fact, you can shop the same site in consecutive months (or even twice in the same month if manually allocated), as long as another shopper has visited in the interim. There is actually no time restriction on the rotation. The jobs usually have multiple visits to the same site each month (one at breakfast, one at lunch and one at tea time).

There is also a restriction on the interval between shops: a certain number of days must elapse between visits. For example, if another shopper is booked to do a lunctime visit one one day, it won't let you pick up a breakfast visit for the following day, even though the date is showing as allowable on the system.

Not quite true. Each shop only gets 2 visits a month. Over the course of the year they have an equal number of breakfast/lunch/dinner, eat in/drive through.

It's how the allocators have the ability to switch timeframes and methods when they call you begging. They have less flexibility toward the end of the year though :)

A frozen dessert item ;) (sorry, I always feel the need to be slightly cryptic on this thread!).

I've just poured it down the waste disposal. My other half said, "oh look, how nice, they've sent you a tub of warm sick" :D

We had that too! Straight down the sink, smell made me drool though! Could have done with it in this heat too.
