jen - just wait for the client to respond! RE are pretty good IME, I did a pub job and there was **** smeared everywhere in the toilet and the food was minging. I sent the report and then the client tried to discredit me by saying my report was wrong because there were no men on duty at the time and I had described a guy who served my food.
I just responded that I knew the difference between a man and a woman and would be happy to go to the pub and point the person out if they wished me to.

    Never heard any more

Thank you, have sent an email off. I was quite reasonable. I only asked for the £2 bet covering and said this would be good to highlight to future customers but never recieved a reply.

Hpefully Rosemary may have a look into it for me

  • Grr! Isn't so annoying when you are in a shop and see bad service but you aren't mystery shopping! So frustrating, I would have loved to have written a report. For any mystery shopping companies who may be reading this, please try and get a contract to mystery shop Deichmann shoe shop! The staff there really could do with some training as they are so rude! I popped into the Westfield branch in London yesterday. Was just passing it and recognised the brand from my time in Germany. They sell a really good range of different shoes at cheap prices but just because the goods are cheap, there is no excuse for cheap service! Anyway, I was trying some shoes on and was rudely told by an assistant that I couldn't try them where I was and had to go to the back of the store. Wow, a polite excuse me would not have gone a miss. The best bit was when I was at the checkout as an assistant was kicking off at a customer. Turned out that the card which the customer had been trying to pay with, had been reported stolen and apparently the credit machine had told the assistant to cut up the card and not return it. Quite rightly, the customer was angry as the assistant did not tell her what the problem was and simply cut up the card. Well the customer was fuming and the assistant shouted back. Not very professional in my opinion and the assistant did not handle it very well. I would be fuming if someone cut up my card without an explaination. I would also wonder what they would be doing with my credit card details. Poor customer didn't even have a chance to call her credit card issuer. Maybe the card had been stolen, maybe it was an innocent mistake but the assistant could have handled it more professionally and not created a scene. Certainly not shout and kick off.

i've done a few mystery shop bookies today with competitors as well and i have never been willing a team that wasn't england to score anoother goal so much and it hit the bar , I would have had a quite a bit of celebrating my self but here's hoping the match tonight goes in my favour .
It's putting a bit more fun on the games when you have a couple of pounds that you will get refunded for anyway

I think for the 10 minutes it would take for you to do a professional type of feedback report and send it in to the head office, you would not only feel better, but may be able to sell the virtues of having an MS programme introduced to the chain.

I'm sure the system does work if taken seriously so you could build a case and lay on thick how your personal custom has been put into question therefore should they not be wondering how many other customers they are missing out on?
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

  • I did think about writing to the Head Office about what I saw. I was so shocked about the rudeness of the staff. One customer spoke up and said she worked in a shop and had never known for a credit card to be requested to be cut up. She said that even Harrods would not do that. One staff member replied, "look around, does this look like Harrods to you!".
