£6 is small change to anyone but especially them...
I've had a few urgent ones off them recently and always ask for petrol, every time its been a decent enough amount to make it worthwhile...
Gap on the other hand rang me for two urgent burgers and wouldn't give me anything  apparently they're "spending a lot on extra fees" and it's "affecting their bottom line". Well driving 60 miles for a greasy burger and a measly fee affects mine too
Well i only live about 1 1/2 miles from the place. So asking for petrol would be selling myself a little short lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Point taken
Yeah I'd have asked them for extra as well I think, if they're desperate to have it covered in the grand scheme of things a few quid is nothing. I've had up to 5x the usual fee for some jobs although they were a long way out of my usual area.0 -
Saying that Karma is now kicking my !!!
Anyone done one. On the print it gives me three products to check but on the questionnaire loads more.
Do i check all the ones on the questionnaire or just the three on the sheet?I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

You have to do both. The three are promotional items you have to check, and the others are part of the audit you have to do afterwards, with a member of staff...0 -
Oh heck, just got rumbled doing one of my covert crisp jobs! So annoying as I only had about 4 bays to go but didn't see the busybody staff member watching me and he apprehended me! Asked me what I was doing, why I was taking photos etc. It was quite scary really, I just told them I was doing a project for a course I was on but he quoted the data protection act at me and asked me to leave:eek: Oh the shame!
Has this happened to anyone else? Have you gone back to the same store? I'm not even gonna attempt the 2 new products but would like to finish off the crisps now I've started!0 -

Thanks, I would have thought they would give you a sheet with that info on aswell, not hid it in the questionnaire.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Have to disagree with proshopper here!
ESA wanted me to do 3 shops which were a 40 mile round trip and the fees weren't great and offered me an extra £1 per job :rotfl:
GfK on the other hand have offered me half the original fee on top to do a job 2 minutes down the road :T
Last time with ESA, it was three jobs with an already reasonable fee. However, the round trip was 60 miles. I told them, yes, but said that I would have to reschedule other work to fit them in, and that I would want the mileage/travel time covered. So they doubled the fees for all three jobs and added in an extra bit. They seemed happy and so was I.Scaredy_Cat wrote: »I'm still smarting from a job last year when GfK rang me up to beg me to do a job for them - it was miles out of my area but they told me how far it was (about 36 miles as I recall) and they offered an increased fee to reflect that.
When I did the job, I clocked it on the car dashboard and it was actually 70 miles  I was NOT happy! Took hours out of my day and was nearly double the distance they had told me. I did ask about extra money to cover the fact that it was a lot further than they had told me, and depsite telling me (twice) that they were asking about this for me, I never got any extra money.
GfK went down in my estimation after that.
You must have been miffed, SC. I would have been. Luckily, I always have a pretty good idea of the sort of mileage involved going anywhere within 100 miles of home. All these years of keeping MS companies interested in my services have given me a good idea of local (and beyond) geography.mysteryshoppingninja wrote: »Point taken

I have just accepted an "unallocatable" job for another company. Again, I said I would have to reschedule other work to do it. They have upped the fee to a pretty good rate, and thrown in enough other work in the immediate area to give me a full day (plus travel was already reimbursable anyway). I think it's called scratching each others' backs!!0
