I know what you mean, waiting 10 working days, it is so annoying because you want get over and done with ,how long an email would take to simple enquiry? They all reply in the same day, if I had to wait 10 working days for a company reply as I customer that is not on.

Precisely why the job is there really and why we get paid!
Majority reply within a day or so but I have had some that are over a week and others who haven't bothered to reply at all. So it is important to be patient with some of the jobs...then you can let rip with your perception of the service if they have totally ignored you (in an objective way of course!);)

Yep, Ive had this too. 2 of my 4 shops on Tuesday were queried about a blurred receipt - I had no problems this end. Also some a couple of weeks ago they said were blurred but fine my end

To be honest had just assumed it was either just my scanner or the size of the picture or something:D

Its almost certainly a problem at their end! When receipts had to be attached to an email, I never had any problems. But their new upload system gives me trouble almost every time and I get emails from them saying they can't read them. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference how I scan the receipts - they still can't read them. But, if I send exactly the same scanned receipt attached to an email, its perfect!

They told me not to worry and, when I get the rejection email, I should just attach a copy to the reply and send it that way. Saves a lot of faffing about.

Sent an email about the job on esa, saying i can do it, but would have to leave work early, and this would cost me a few pennies. If they were to cover this.......

    We shall seen lol

Esa phoned me about a pharmacy job but I couldn't do it, there wasn't any mention of the fee being higher. Do they only increase it if you have done a lot of work for them?

Like most of the MS companies they only increase the fee if you ask. There's not many that offer an increase straight away as obviously they are hoping you'll do it for the normal fee.

I've also found with ESA that it depends on who rings. There's an older sounding male that sometimes rings that is actually quite generous, but the others try to sound as if they're doing you a favour offering the job .

    I agree squideum,
It really depend how desperate they are as well, I do not know about esa but gfk called me once to do 3 jobs in a day, I said I will do two but three in different areas with a lot of travelling between them!!! they then offered to pay more , I said ok then.:D I was not looking for increase of fee, I just thought It will be too much travelling but the extra money made it worthwhile.

In my experience, both ESA and GfK are excellent in covering travel costs for urgent work. GfK generally seems to google the mileage and add a bit. ESA seems more trusting: they generally just make the fee up to a level where the work is worthwhile doing. They quite often present me with an unrealistic round trip and when I tell them "yes, but ..." they are always accommodating.

Neither of these companies seems to have unrealistic expectations. I think they are both very reasonable if they are certain the work will get done.

Have to disagree with proshopper here!

ESA wanted me to do 3 shops which were a 40 mile round trip and the fees weren't great and offered me an extra £1 per job :rotfl:

GfK on the other hand have offered me half the original fee on top to do a job 2 minutes down the road :T
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

If you are talking about the 2 in same Essex village, PLEASE DO THEM!!! Everytime I see their number I know they are going to ask me about them AGAIN. (3 calls yesterday from 2 different people).

If it is that one, they will increase the fee, just tell them your mileage costs and they will cover them at set rate.

I'm still smarting from a job last year when GfK rang me up to beg me to do a job for them - it was miles out of my area but they told me how far it was (about 36 miles as I recall) and they offered an increased fee to reflect that.

When I did the job, I clocked it on the car dashboard and it was actually 70 miles  I was NOT happy! Took hours out of my day and was nearly double the distance they had told me. I did ask about extra money to cover the fact that it was a lot further than they had told me, and depsite telling me (twice) that they were asking about this for me, I never got any extra money.

GfK went down in my estimation after that.

    And the update:

they made me an offer......£3 extra.......i made a counter offer......£6 extra (explained that leaving work early would cost me more than £3)....

    There was a long pause..............

and then, yes because it's urgent.

Don't have the happy feeling though. She said 'on this occasion......' and i now feel like i have extorted a hugh amount of money from her and she's on the verge of ruin lol
