I have read this thread carefully and don't know quite what help the OP is asking for or why.

If you want to know if the IB people will pay for a hotel in connection with a medical, the answer is no. My husband had to go to a medical in connection with his IB, a four hour drive in each direction (which he did get expenses for), but they would not pay for an overnight stay.

I don't know what where you worked or what money your parents have has to do with anything.

I don't know why you think they should pay for a 'private' medical (i.e. one you have chosen to attend, not one they have asked you to go to).

    Have I answered your question?

It appears to me the “condition” is one that is not accepted, or at least disputed, by conventional medicine.
(I don’t want to speculate. what it might be.)

It seems, OP has made up his/her mind, that s/he suffers from that particular condition and needs a centre
(outside of the NHS) who, like him/her believes in the condition’s existence to confirm it.

OP could have been far more forthcoming in what the condition is and why it needs some
special organisation who has to (and only can) diagnose it.

…..dont think they are part of the NHS because the people that have the help line and all the services told me "It's notoriously difficult to access diagnoses on the NHS"
From what they have told me the NHS are really bad at "diagnosing"(noticing) this and a formal assessment can only be done with this group.
Norfolk to newcastle by car to people who are specialists and unavailable on the NHS.

OP, what good is a diagnoses: “You suffer from ‘XYZ’ “ when the NHS (and therefore the DWP as well)
disputes the condition exists at all.

I think that your suppositions make sense except for the OP's comment

"This one is funded by DSA and access to work scheme in employment." which seems to go against it.

Are you going specifically to the Newcastle or Durham assesment center?
I have a rough idea of what your disability is, dont worry i wont speculate online.
I cannot be of much help, other than to say best of luck and dont give up
and keep on making a nusence of yourself.
Somebody, somewhere will want you for what you can do.

PS Could you not ask for a home visit, in the first instance.

    Hi

I know l am going against the flow of this thread but thought it might be worth mentioning that there is a website https://www.turn2us that deals with organisations/trusts that may be of assistance. I do not know the exact criteria but it might be worth a look.

Again would Dept of Works & Pensions deal with this perhaps in the form of a loan of some sort.

Sorry if the above are not feasible

Thanks, been a shock to be honest, still sinking in. Didnt know they did home visits I will look into that !

And yes it is recognized by the NHS and the incapacity department I dont know why they cant do assessments it might be because it takes a long time or because you need specialist training !? I am stressed enough as it is I dont need to look into how it is all funded and why the NHS themselves do not find it easy to diagnose.

Thanks flo5 for turntous I will have a look.
