Thats what I would have thought. I remember having to give receipts but that was absolutely years ago and for work. Couldnt get on a couch for that long, I need to take alot of things as well.0 -
Hopefully there petrol is only £2.50 then. lol:rotfl::rotfl:
i get really irate at people who cant take responsibility for themselves
and its always someone elses fault.!!!!!!.
Sometimes it is but because you worked for the wrong company they are above the law and if I start quoting evidence it will be removed and I will be prevented from posting because there is no justice or freedom of speech in this country. You would have loved it there, "taking responsibility for yourself" lol ignorance really is bliss :rotfl: Yet another I dont know why I even bother moment !!!!!!!0 -
You still have not answered my question - I'm not sure whether you want help or just fancy a rant?Gone ... or have I?0

eh.............
Your post makes no sense at all, do you want to try again. What has ignorance or working for the wrong company got to do with anything.
No one is above the law.........
Im from the generation that we had to just get on with it, if i want something i pay for it. Its my responsibility. I wont milk the system like lots of others do. Why should tax payers pay for me, i do what i do so i will take the responsibility for it. Why should i expect other people to be responsible,
Why is it always the cry 'Its not my fault' boo hoo, when it, in most cases, clearly is.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Lets go back.
They cannot help you medically if you have not yet had a diagnosis.
Am I right in thinking that, as yet, you have not ha a diagnosis or am i missing something here
Please dont get the wrong impression of me, Im not a toff or anything similar, my dad was a miner in the the north,
Mam was a crane driver in a shipyard during the war, i had a typical if not worse geordie childhood where what came in on a Friday was gone by Monday and the pawnshop was a rgular place on a Tuesday, (and another trip on a Friday to get Dads suit out again) so a little deprived to say the least. Not quite at the coal in the bath syndrome lol.
but working class lassie. And as down to earth as canbe.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

No, apparently you would have to if it was a train etc that you were claiming for.
When I claim my mileage, they work it out using the RAC/AA routefinder, and it shows the shortest distance between the two post codes. I also claim for the tolls etc, but they don't give recepits. I would have thought that they would have asked for petrol receipts, but they said no, as I might have some petrol left over when I get home!!
This only came about after a guy behind me in the queue to claim the expenses sat down next to me in the cafe and asked where I had come from. Told him, and he said he was from Dorset. Then he went on to say that it's up to the patient how he gets there, the least they will fund is mileage. So he goes up by coach to save money!!
Don't fancy that idea, 10 hours on a bus - ugggh!!
Mind you I suppose if you were very frugal you could hitch for nothing!!!0 -
pennyforthem wrote: »The pensioners are only relevant to someone asking what my situation is and as for me not helping myself it was a government company that I worked for(I received no ill health retirement money or anything they have got away with murder) just like I have begged the government for help for years ! How many people on this website or at all have actually contacted the medical department of incapacity and asked them for help !? And then when they were sat in front of them begged them to help only to be told "there is nothing we can do they should not be treating you this way" Come on then a show of hands please ! Sorry but I do take offense at that because I have for over ten years been proactive and tried LOTS of different things employment, courses, volunteer placements and self employment all off my own back and all at my own expense at some point the pot does run dry ! I cant even open the boot of my rusty car that might not make it all the way, so yes after over a decade of no help I think I deserve some ! But you know what the sad fact is that once you have experienced that laws are not upheld and that you can go for years begging for help and receive non you actually question if you want to risk being placed in that position again. After all I am quite content doing things like reading and watching documentaries if you think and the people in charge allow you to conduct yourselves in such a manor as to interfere with other peoples ability to live their lives why do I actually want to be a part of that !? Which would have cost the tax payer less to uphold the law when I was in employment or to pay me incapacity for over ten years and then give me medical treatment !?
I,m not being funny but what on earth are you going on about?0 -

Yes thanks I have just been reading McKneff's posts, its a shame a site that is supposed to be informative and helpful allows such people to spoil it I will be ignoring from now on.
