New Guide Discussion: Beat the impending ESTA charge

I've just successfully applied for my visa-no travel plans in place, just taking advantage before the charge. GUESS WHAT - they've closed the loophole already by making any successful application valid until the 8th of September-the day you have to start paying for one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, don't bother filling in their form until you are travelling to the USA and you'll now HAVE to pay the fee if it's after September 8th.0

noahmagnus54: Use the link in the guide to complete your ESTA and it'll be free, until 8 September. It is the official way to apply: Guide: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/esta-usa-visa Official Website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html?_flowExecutionKey=_cE63984CC-A1F0-87C7-B81A-03E170EC85CD_k8AC83E8D-4EF3-5399-52D0-E947484A5E7D
Widow57: You apply for ESTA to see if you're eligible to travel under the visa waiver program. If your ESTA is accepted, you can stay in the States for up to three months and you do not need to go to the US Embassy. If your ESTA is refused, or you want to be in the US for longer than three months, you need to apply for a visa at the US Embassy to gain authorisation.0 -

Hi spacebart,
I've asked my contact at the press office for the US Department for Homeland Security about this and she says the two-year or whenever your passport expires rule hasn't changed. Thus the loophole is still open.
Perhaps your passport expires on that date, or it may be 2011 and you missed that?
Hope that helps!

Please dont bite my head off with this question.
I have just filled in parts of the form with my friend (who does not have internet access and who is sitting next to me) and have come to a confusing question, the question relating to moral turpitude.
She was Cautioned as a Kid for shoplifting aged 11or12. (would the us count this as Juvenile delinquency?)
She was also Cautioned under S5 Public Order Act and Cautioned for the offence of battery (assault) a year ago.
The http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86942.pdf document states thatb. Crimes committed against the person, family relationship, or sexual
morality which do not involve moral turpitude include:
(1) Assault (simple) (i.e., any assault, which does not require an evil
intent or depraved motive, although it may involve the use of a
weapon, which is neither dangerous nor deadly);
This has now confused the life out of me and my friend, what would the US class this assault as?Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.
Ticket routing and rules expert.
