I bought a sample for $1000 (700ish pounds) it was orginally
$5500 (3900ish pounds), so I was very happy! It's 100% silk, Priscilla of Boston, which is a very popular brand in the US.

Right after the wedding I plan on putting up on several wedding sites for sale, preownedweddingdresses, oncewed, plus in my knot signature, as well as putting it in a bridal consignment store local to my parents' house. I hope to get at least what I paid back since I paid so little of the retail value, usually dresses go for about 50% of retail value on preowned sites.

Mine was from an Ebay auction - was brand new and i got it for £55 incl postage.

    Alterations (length) cost me £20

I paid more for my shoes than I did my dress!

I really couldn't justify spending £'00s on a dress for one day

wow some of you have got fantastic bargains!! I'm aiming for under £200 and am considering a bridesmaid dress for myself as I want purple, and don't really want a mega 'bridey' looking one if that makes sense!

Mine's £66 plus free postage on Ebay !!!

It's coming from China, which I know some people are put off by as we've all had bad experiences, but I chose a seller with great feedback and checked out previous buyers. I had an email today to say it's on it's way so I am one happy bride-to-be!
:kisses2:August 1st 2010...so happy I wanna jump up and down on my bed :j

I think mine will be in the £500 to £1K price range, I'm ok with a copy dress from Landy, but my mum and dad are paying for the dress and they arent so if they are happy to pay then thats ok with me :D
