    I paid £125 for my dress and will be spending a further £50ish on alterations.

    I paid £120 (reduced from £899) and alterations are costing £40

    Mine was £900 new, I saw it as a sample for sale at £500 and then haggled it down to £300!! Still to pay for alterations etc.

    I'd like to get it under £250 - will either get a high street dress, one of ebay/preloved etc, or get my friend to make it for me.
    As much as the dress is important, I just can't justify spending so much on something I'll wear once.

    The most expensive dress in my wardrobe is £50!
