might be boring but think of the money :D

i cant work in a shop unless its a sit down role

Well, I did have sympathy for you initially but you seem to have a can't do/won't do attitude to work.

It's attitudes like yours that give genuine people a bad name..sorry but's that's how I see it!

Tink, are there any garages (I mean petrol stations)beside where you live? Just thinking you could maybe work there and you would only have to stand up for short periods when customers came in? you might need to fill up stock etc but its maybe worth a go just to see how you get on? What happened with your disability thing?

yeah theres one up near morrisons, even standing for 10 mins serving the customers would be bad for my legs but i will look into it, maybe i could get a job in a less busy one

I stand up in mine, but than if you go into most supermarkets most of them are sitting down at the till. So perhaps till work? It's not as bad as some people say.

yeah i would be willing to do till work

Well, good luck to you :D I hope you find something suitable for you. Once when I didn't have a job I wrote a letter to Tescos asking if they had any plans to build a Tesco in my locality, I was willing to do anything.

I've been in my current job over a year (off today) and I enjoy it xx

Sounds good although dont make an issue out of your knee thing from the outset. You wont get to interview stage if they think that its a major concern for you rather than something that you have to deal with but still keen to work despite it. Have you got a good CV? Make it a targetted one concentrating on communication skills and numeracy etc rather than just detailing previous jobs that are in no way related to a checkout job. Let me know if you need any help with it (or with your CV in general) :)

i tend to change my CV with regards to the job im applying for, same with the covering letter, its a hassle changing it lol but ive got like a million different versions on my laptop that i just change slightly if needed and print off lol

im hoping this doesnt go against me but im typing and printing out covering letters instead of writing as i still cant write properly, is that ok?

im not sure about the omitting my knee problem tbh as i dont want to be offered a job i know i cant do IE one that means im standing all day or lots of walking

I dont mean to pretend it doesnt exist, I just mean dont put it in your letter or CV - if you do that they will be scrapped as soon as the read it as you are basically giving them a negative statement before you even start. That can be discussed at interview stage or should be noted on any application form they give you.

Typed covering letter is fairly standard these days so no problem with that.

oh right i see what you mean

yeah i would never put it in a covering letter or on my CV, i would put it in an application form if there was a section for it or tell them in the interview if they asked
