Morning All ,
Nice and sunny here this morning, but I think it's due to cloud over by afternoon. Hey ho, so long as it stays warm I don't care
Happy birthday Cranky. Hope you manage to enjoyit, despite the bittersweet feelings xx
Good luck to Camelot's DS!
Had another driving lesson last night and got a bit of a telling off from my instructor! He said that if I haven't booked my theory test by Friday he's going to be even crosser because he doesn't think I need any more lessons! I've only had 5! He says I've got to start believing that I'm a good driver a lot better than I think I am, and he doesn't want me to waste my money as even if I booked a test now it woudn't be until the back end of August - he wants me to work towards a cancellation!!!!!:eek::eek: I didn't think I'd have my license much before Christmas if I'm honest... So I'm having to grab the bull by the horns (again) and get it booked. Please ask me if I've done it on Friday and tell me off if I haven't!
OS wise, today I have some of my H/M houmous for my lunch (feeling a bit smug about that as I'd heard from some people that their first attempts at houmous weren't great but mine tastes yummy:rotfl:) and tea tonight is pollack with chorizo, cooked in a spicy tomato sauce served with salad and a jacket potato. Need to wash the bed clothes as well when I get in tonight.
Have a lovely day, hugs to those on need/want xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning everyone.
Mindee free again today so kids are happily playing whilst I have a quick nose
Gorgeous weather which means the midges are going to ba a total PITA at Forest School this afternoon. I have already brought down the insect repellant which I shall douse myself and DS in :rotfl:
Plan for today is to get some more house work done, play with kids, hang out washing when it's finished and then spend the afternoon getting grubby in the woods :rotfl:
Tea tonight is a makeshift as I have tap class.

Have a happy and peaceful birthday Cranky hope its not too stressful.Good wishes to Diva and Pen-pin as well.
I have done the school run and just have to do a college run shortly with DGD Holly, then its back to cook a big pasta bake and use up as much as I can of the bits in my fridge.I seem to have a few peppers, celery, bacon mushrooms ect so I thought a big pasta cook up which I will shove into the oven to cook through then will portion up for the freezer.I also have to rewrite my freezer list to see what I have in there. So it will be a pottering day of odd jobs for me.
Hope everyone has a good day I am staying away from the shops as my car goes into the garage next week for some paintwork to be redone (an oops that was my fault reversing onto the drive)so I am economising yet again as I know the bill is a bit of a big 'un. Still these things happen so it will make me more careful in future I guess.
Right time to get a wriggle on have a great day everyone whatever you are doing

Cranky - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! (((HUGS))) Hope that you and George have a calm and special day - sounds like he's already making it special
Camelot - hope you've got some camomile tea in!!! Good Luck to your son
Flutterby - I love your sig re the 100years time ... so true and really makes me think.
Well ... I'm in the library studying this morning, then off for a light lunch and a quick s&s of the house ... would like to spend at least an hour giving it a good once over as have got a sink full of dirty dishes, washing to put away and one of the dogs has disembowled a toy all over the living room :rotfl:
The weather is cloudy but looking as if it will brighten so may even find time for a cup of tea in the garden later too ... I've never enjoyed the garden as much in the past as I am this year - it's as if I'm seeing it with new eyes
I'm so lucky as the only meals I'm going to have to do today is a picnic and tomorrow is breakfast as we are being treated to the rest!! This is really helping me feel able to stick to shopping budget and may be have a few extra pennies left over which I can put in the petrol tank for next month as i have lots of mileage to do for a course. Also, on Sunday we're being treated to a full roast and free swim
Hope everyone has a lovely day what ever you are up to and :grouphug: for anyone who wants/needs them.

Ouch! I have fallen down the back steps again, for the third time!!! My botton is really sore, as is my pelvis, and I am not happy at all with the Housing Association. They have been informed, they have been out, they have been told the builder has not fixed it, and even though I am being extra careful, I have fallen badly again. I am really annoyed at myself though for not being tenacious enough, either. The site manager for the builder came out this morning, quite promptly actually, after Id threatened them with a lawyer if it's not seen to today (not my style at all but I was still crying from the fall, and very upset), and said "I don't know what I can do, I'm at a loss, what do youwant me to do?" I'm not the flaming builder, just make them not slippery! They are a smooth, almost polished concrete, and the least hint of dampness on your feet makes them treacherous, I know this, and am careful, but it only takes one lapse in concentration for you to treat them as normal, non slip stairs, and you fall! We'll see what they do later. I have reported it to Environmental Health to see if they can help in anyway, too. Sorry for the rant. Then splurged and got my hair trimmed and straightened. Well it is my birthday - and hubby got me just what HE'D always wanted - Sherlock Holmes on DVD!!! Even after I bought my own pressie from the kids he forgot to give it to me - Oh well at least I got a card from him.
