PLEASE explain how it could mess you up using it?
    Are you seriously this stupid?

All someone needs is my password and they can access that account and, at the very least, change the password so I can't ever use it again. That's all they need to do and they inconvenience me greatly - all for a laugh.

Doesn't have to be gainging access to my bank details to cause problems.

And anyone who asks for such information while pretending to help is at the very least lying. Someone who genuinely wants to help wouldn't ask for such information to begin with and NOONE anywhere, for any reason, should ever ask for another user's passwords for any site. If you join any website it is always official policy for the customer services to never ask for that information. So when some random internet user asks me for mine, i know he's not acting in my best interests, because if he was - he wouldn't have asked.

I've no idea, that's the point. At the very least you could have just changed my password for a laugh and thus prevent me from ever accessing that account again.

I have no idea who you are or what your motives are, i've never met you. But asking that people give out passwords to complete strangers isn't something that wins you my trust.

nope, all you would need to do is select forgotten password
you would then get the email to sort that

its no skin of my nose,i dont need access to your FB
it was an offer to help you
as i have done for a few in my partners family.I set them up and actually keep an eye on them as they are not PC literate. also i watch what their teenage kids are up to on FB

I think there is a good chance Martin is a child/youngster who has had it drummed into them by their parents than you are never to give out any security details and that if anyone asks you they are either a hacker or a pedo .
In which case his over reaction was perfectly understandable BUT his tone and manner in which he reacted was well out of order!!!

You need more. I have confirmed the account via email, as I said. Whenever I try to comment i get asked to verify my account first. Since I can't it won't let me proceed.
you are mistaken. if you havent got any friends or anything else of use in your account i suggest starting a new one from scratch.
    1. go to facebook.com.
    2. click on help centre. there are 3 sections of subjects.
    3. click on sign up, it is the first one in the first section.
    4. click on the second one entitled what do i need to do to sign up for this site.
    5. it will clearly explain what people have already said here.

you are clearly doing something wrong. perhaps you are clicking on things related to useing the site with a mobile phone and that is why it is asking you to verify that way.
