Work is manic as ever, just popped on to tell Taplady, that when I had problems with my mothers landlord, the CAB's advice was to call his bluff & offer to go to court over the money/repairs. I did, it worked & he backed off.

thanks Hester!:T I did tell him to say he'd consulted them and I'll tell him what you said!:)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Whoops!! Hopefully the 2 Sues' will forgive me. Just think what it's like playing scrabble with them both at the same time. Better not touch that for a couple of days, else will be slaughtered.
:o:o:o:o , now corrected.
forgiven!;):D hope Redruby has more luck beating you than I do!;) Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all
I've had a good day at work. I had my appraisal and got a glowing report from my boss
. It's nice being based back in my normal office. I got lots doen, and popped out lunchtime to the bank. Annoyingly Halifax would only let me pay in 5 bags of change - and I had 15! - so had to go to HSBC too. Luckily I have 2 accounts. I also got some bits from home bargains.
I went to gym after work, my colleague was also there so felt a bit self conscious to begin with cos he is super fit and I am not, but soon forgot that he was there!
My washing survived the day on the balcony :rotfl:
I have a new mobile phone too :j I ordered it 4.55pm yesterday from Orange and it was delivered at midday today. Can't fault that! I got a great deal too

That doesn't surprise me, or anyone else here, probably, given the way you immerse yourself in your job, as I said before, you're a real credit to them. Time to ask for a sneaky payrise, maybe?

Aww thankyou jackieglasgow for your kind comments :A I wish I could ask for a payrise, but as I work for a charity it's not likely. Although we have a pay review next month so may get a small amount.
Oh and by super fit I meat physically fit, he is most definatley not fit in that way!!! :rotfl:

Evening.
Not been on much as still having hassles with DS. Am going to have to speak to headmistress tomorrow as he was bullied again in the schoolyard today:( A girl who isnt in his class stuck a stick into his chest and he has a big red gauge mark there:eek:. Am not happy at all and something needs sorting. He is very stressed and upset and not wanting to go to school.
Hope everyone else is ok, hugs to all who need them

Evening all,
Not as warm here to-day and it has been drizzling for the past hour...glad that I got the clothes off the line before it started.
Pork chops with beans peas and groundelder for dinner...DD3 was here and was very impressed, so another victory for frugality!
More plants bought to-day but just one potted up as it day seemed to run away from me.
NPM...hugs to you and Noah.
Flutterby...no surprise on glowing report, congratulations.
JackieO...Mrs Basil's behaviour just goes to show that it is not just human females who can cope!
Friend of DDs 1&3 had 'hen party' at weekend, discovered that she is marrying the brother of someone we know...he is youngest of 14 siblings, 11 of whom are teachers...sure there is some kind of record there somewhere. Means that there is a huge crowd going to wedding, mostly made up of siblings, their partners and children.
Hope that the weather forecast is correct, allegedly temperature is to soar to middle 20sc...have forgotten what that is like.
Hugs to all in need of one, especially Ladygrim, PP and Diva.
