Good Morning everyone ,another beautiful day at the moment .The sun is shining and the sky is eggshell blue. The sun rising over the River Medway this morning was amazing, the river was just a molten mass of slow running silver.
My computer room is what was my old back bedroom, and I can sit at my desk and gaze across the river, very distracting at times, but soo worth it. I sometimes think we all need a bit of time to 'stand and stare'.
The one thing I would love to have been able to do well was draw or paint I can see how I would like it to come out, but the actual mechanics of getting what I see on to the paper just doesn't happen. I do appreciate my surroundings though.Great 'free'entertainment.I watched Mrs 'Basil' zooming around this morning looking for food for her babies.Every now and then one would squawk a bit louder then the others, (bet it was a male:))and she would fly up to the nest and jabber away at it .The chicks are at the fluffy -careful-or-you-will-fall-out stage in their nest and she seems to have eyes in the back of her head.Mr 'Basil' has definitely 'legged it' or should I say 'flew it'.
In my neighbours tree she has 'collared' doves nesting and they are noisy devils. The garden seems to be bursting with weeds, and the grass is very long.Half of my garden is paved so the bottom half gets left as I can no longer cut the grass, but I suppose its good for the insects ect and I do get quite a lot of butterflies. At some point one of my son-in-laws will come and cut it down for me I guess but I don't mind too much as even overgrown its giving a home to some bits of wildlife.,
I can see from my window someone two doors down has got their bedding plants in, and they are all in regimental lines and looking very neat and tidy .Puts my patch to shame.I swear that the woman must sit up all night daring a weed to poke its head up in her garden. She seems to be out there from dawn to dusk weeding.Oh well different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Today I have my craft club this afternoon and I must remember to take some milk for tea as its my 'turn' We have two hours once a fortnight, and apart from having a good gossip and putting the world to right we all enjoy it.My DD calls it 'Mums cutting out club' but we do make all of our birthday/Christmas cards for our families, plus we also make cards and give them to the MacMillan fund and our local hospital where they sell them to raise funds.
No shopping to get today as I have enough to last me until at least Friday if not longer.

I managed to get all the ironing done last night and put away, so I feel quite virtuous this morning.I don't mind ironing, but I do hate putting it all away for some reason.Well time I got a wriggle on as the bin men come today and I have a tiny bag of rubbish to put out.I went through a couple of drawers last night chucking out odds and ends that were of no use anymore .I hope everyone has a great day and big <<<hugs>>> if you are feeling down or sad.Take care all

Morning all..............(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one. May not get a chance to post over the next few days as DD1 & SIL's arrival is imminent, they were hoping to leave around 4am, so they should be up by 11a, or thereabouts. Just hope they remember about the bend. The field across the road is being planted, woke me at 6am, there are cars parked on the bend, very dangerous......

The bunnies were playing hop scotch on the slate path outside our window last night...... watch it boys rabbir pie!!!

    Morning everyone.
Had a terrible night sleep (although only part of it was due to DS - came in to see us around 1am and I had to settle him back off to sleep). I just kept waking every time I turned over. My eyes feel really tired and sore this morning but I am trying not to rub them to avoid panda eyes :rotfl:
Off to soft play this morning and this afternoon I have a review meeting at school about DS and how he's getting on.
Tea tonight......hmmmm I think I might do sausage pasta or something. Might see what H fancies when I speak to him later.

Gorgeous sunny day here, perfect for drying. One of the bonuses about my lovely new washing machine is it does about double the loads I used to do so my washing is pretty much up to date :T:T
Might try and squeeze in some cleaning before going to school this afternoon, will have to see how the time goes.

N9eav - your poly tunnel will be worth all the effort in the end. I have polly tunnel envy :rotfl:

Taplady - hope you DS1 can sort out his landlord. Never rented before - was there a checklist or anything like that both parties signed at the start of renting etc that would confirm marks in carpet were there previously? Seems such a shame to be swindled out of his deposit for no fault of his own.......especially after all your hard work.

Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Jet77. It really means a lot. Have had another talk with DS and explained that I do want him to walk away from difficult situations but there are also times when he must say something or do something, even if that something is just calling me and asking what to do. It's very difficult though. Hope you are feeling better later for your course.
Taplady hope you get the landlord situation sorted out soon its awful when these things happen but hopefully your sons letter will make the difference
Off to get the ironing done:(

Morning-gorgeous day here today,so when I've finished tidying I shall go and do something in the garden. The trouble is its so dry its really hard to dig and weed.At least I've now finished all my painting-did the kitchen yesterday so all looks fresh.

JackieO- we've got a blackbirds nest in our garden- in a very precarious position really, right next to where DH parks the car. There is a bamboo in the border which we tied with some rope to stop it spreading so wide, and the nest is just above the rope where all the branches have gathered, and about eye level.DH said Mrs B was sat in it so I dont know what stage its at.The trouble is I'm on pins when the dog goes out-he's such a big lad that if he went and pushed behind,he could knock it out.

I think I may do salad for tea,as its so nice.I have pork chops defrosting, but they would do for tomorrow.I'll decide later.

Right ,back to my hoovering :D,have a good day.x

I would to have some birds nesting in my yard, instead i have them in my chimney cheeping away. Mrs 'basil' seems like a very devoted mother.
Today is shockingly sunny, you read it right sunny! with lots of clouds, but i don't mind as its warmish.
Made a start in the passage today, removed the bikes and put the packed kitchen cupboards there. So now i have my mat back in the middle room :j:j:j
Going to pop over the market today and get some some salad stuff and other bargains off the cheap stall. May have a look at some fabric as well.

Yesterday went really well with the speech therapist, she is such a lovely woman and very helpful in every way. DS2 loved her to bits, she's asked me to go in next week so that we can run through everything. So we've been practicing saying "ch" this morning. Hopefully my little one will crack it.

Think were having onion tart & salad for tea.

    Well done rubys DD!

    Good Morning All

Sorry for not posting regular at the moment, I must admit my back has got me down a bit, which is a bit wimpish really against those who are really ill and have pain all the time.:o:o

Congrats to Redruby's DD and good luck to her and all those facing exams of any sort in the next few weeks.

Diva Hope you are back with us soon, Pen-Pin hope you are holding out and get some extra support for when DH gets out of hospital after his knee op., for you both and anyone else needing one :grouphug:

Taplady sorry to hear about your doggie, not a nice home coming, but hope you enjoyed your break in Devon.

Had DS down for the weekend as his car MOT was due, and DNephew looks after cars for us as a mechanic and MOT tester. As always it ended up being a hectic weekend, as when he comes home he has to fit family and friends in as it is so rare:eek:, even though we talk daily by email/text/phone. Please keep your fingers crossed for his GF, the Fashion house where she is working unpaid have given her a project to do to consider her for a permanentt PAID position, which is why she could not be with him this weekend, I am sceptical as she has 4 items she has designed for them on the catwalk for the next fashion show, so they do not know her work do they!!:mad: In addition another branch of the high street chain who she got to the last 2 for a Fashion Designer position a couple of weeks ago have contacted her for an interview, for next week, so hopefully one way or another their life can progress with her having paid employment.

Treat DS with some of his favourites Game Pie (HM) and Roast Lamb dinner. Having a portion of each left DH & I had those for dinner yesterday. I also bought a Huntsman Pie - like a pork pie but with different meats and topped with S&O Stuffing, and roasted a piece of gammon in the SC. Bought 2 for £6 and gave me loads of lovely ham for the salad/sandwiches and some fat for the birds. We are really enjoying the wildlife in our garden, we have Goldfinches/Greenfinches feeding, along with loads of Blackies, one of which comes and sits on our step and even tries coming inside when he sees us, Thrushes, Ring Doves, House Sparrows, the odd Blue Tit, and unfortunately the odd Gull even though we are miles from the coast.

Had the results of my blood test yesterday, and my kidney function had gone back up to almost where it was at the end of 2008, so that is good news, and my haemoglobin (sp) had risen slighly too, fortunately my BP has stayed down so not had to find replacements for the tablets causing the problem. The Dr gave me some Diazepam just 10 low dose tablets, as they have found that sometimes a side effect is muscle relaxation, which can help a spasm as I have. If it works it 3 days then good - if not it is not going to do the trick, but worth a try. Said I would feel floppy, dozy with them, but not noticed be being any dozier than normal yet:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Will try and get myself her more often. Off to here with the 'van this weekend. Surprising what is so close to you and you do not know about.

    Take care -DG
