i would still write to them giving them one last opportunity and 7 days to respond, but at the same time go to the FOS, it will take the FOS a bit of time to process your complaint, you can alwys withdraw if black horse then uphold your complaint.
at least by giving them one last chance you are demonstrating to the fos that you are trying to be reasonable and fair.
good luck and let us know how you get on.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
On the phone they will say anything, and at least if you write they have to correspond in writing, this again is written evidence for the FOS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

hi, have to laugh at black horse my 2nd complaint has came through with an offer of 2,268.84 plus 672.18 pounds statutory interest paymentswhich i will acccept. The other one which they offered me goodwill payment of 186.29 pounds i will be taking up with the financial ombudsman i will send after this refund is safely in my bank account, the 2 policies were exactly the same, they must think we button up the back. So i am looking forward to another little nest egg0

nice one,
i would suggest once you get the money you give BH one more opportunity on the other one and refer them to their decision on the one upheld. asking them to confirm why one was accepted and one was not.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
i will rob soon as the refund is in my account i,ll give them another chance0

Hello
I've read a few messages from people who are having problems with Black Horse PPI's.
I am also trying to reclaim my PPI from black horse. They have send me a letter telling me that as a gesture of goodwill they were willing to give me £326 refund (the loan was paid off early) as they were now in a position to offer me something I wasn't at the time of paying off the loan 4 years ago.
I've written to them again stating that I wanted all of the money back as I was missold the PPI but I haven't heared back from them since and its now been 6 weeks.
Has anyone managed to get anything back from Black Horse? If so how did you manage it?
I'm more than happy to send this to the financial ombudsman (which Black Horse were happy to enclose a leaflet with my disgusting letter)0 -

Hi there
I would give them a ring and ask for an update.
They do have 8 week in full to make a decision, even though they can take longer, but if they don't think they can give a decision by the 8 weeks they are entitled to, they should let you know, and give a timescale.
The FOS will investigate complaints, just as long as the business have had 8 weeks.
They should send you a leaflet of the FOS in the final decision.
hope this helps, and hope you hear soon of a decision your waiting for.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thanks for the quick response.
I'll give them a call today and see what they say.
