if the pre-payment / debit cashback card makes up for poor admin and expensive tariffs... why not just get the card on it own from an alternative route ? I have.

How do you get card without joining them, and taking out at least one service ?

What's your relationship to UW? I only ask because you have only ever posted in here. I'd say your a rep
Aah, damned by the court of Quentin, Cardew and quentin. I think I'll put you on my list of unworthy characters too.

What gives you the right to abuse people by suggest they are unworthy characters Nige, especially as they were not addressing you in the first place ?

I see from your quote that Quentin has dragged up something that I explained on the original thread a couple of years or so back. I had a problem and in a fit of pique whinged about it, as many do. Then Utility Warehouse got it sorted to my satisfaction. By coincidence, Quentin always leaves that bit out. I am Sooo pleased that I put him/her on my ignore list.

You did attempt to explain "it" away, saying (here on MSE) that you were referring to a single episode. But that was just a lie to cover up your embarrassment!

    1) Why would you go public to complain so strongly - "atrocious" is pretty strong!

    2) Why would you complain about "some" atrocious service were it just the single incident you now want us to believe?

You actually were posting about your experiences dealing with uw customer services when you reported "some fairly atrocious ones".

So to come here and now tell us you just had a single issue is just another bit of your uw spin for our benefit, and not true.

    Why be so abusive?

As posted above you are the one who is showing a poor character by lying to us to try and squirm out of an uncomfortable situation.

And you an ex copper too!

As a Utility Warehouse independent distributor I earn money from signing people up to the utilities they offer. I acknowledge that many people who use the internet will be able to find electricity and gas at a lower price. However, I make best use use of the pre payment card, and because of this I get my utilities at a cost that, as yet, has not matched by any combination of other companies. Therefore I earn money from the company and save money too. I am happy with what I have got and therefore others in similar circumstances will also be able to get that same best value.

Nige I still cant see how you save money using this method, and how others would benefit

All you appear to do is to get a credit for using the cashback card ,and then you use the credit to reduce your expensive UW energy bills, and other UW utility bills, when you could in fact place your energy elsewhere saving money and still benefit from the cashback.
