I'm still happy using my UW cash card, I haven't paid for my landline or calls in as long as I can remember, plus I get a nice little amount of cash each month just for being a busy fool and with Xmas just around the corner my cashback is going to be even greater!! I don't mind being labelled a 'busy fool' it works for me!

Ask Cardew and Quentin (currently viewing this very thread!). Try and pin them down. Good luck. :D

    .

Try and pin down MilicentBystander why he posts as 1carminestocky, operastar, and other aliases in support of UW - good luck

Ah, I see you all think I "am one of them". A very suspicious lot you are indeed. I am employed in an entirely different field of work and have never done sales of any kind. So I shall find out for myself if they are good company (if they sort out my changeover without a hitch) and actually save me money (which I will decide when I get my bills) and then if I am happy, I will go to the careers evening I have been invited to to find out for myself. I know I could get cheaper elsewhere on gas and electric, but I am tired of doing it myself so a fixed price deal for a while suits me.

What I won't do is get involved in "are they or are they not" a good company. I thought my last post was very fair and balanced, so I am surprised to say the least at the suspicion.

For the record, I have not recommended them to anyone yet, until I am satisfied with the service they give to me. Hence my end comment of I will post when they have. Can't say fairer than that.

You dont have to be a distributor to benefit from recommending the company. Customers get a credit off there bills for doing so.
Incorrect. Customers get money off their bills if the person they recommend the company to signs up, and, the sign up is attributed to that particular customer. I have recommended the company to Quentin & Cardew and received no payment.

Love or Hate UW. The latest half year trading figures look impressive.

  • I see they are now a half a billion pound company. Jeez.

Please outline how the card is "risky"

Wonder why you repeatedly ask this question? You know the answer.

It is not me who originally pointed out that the card carries risks.

The risks are highlighted by the UW itself in the first line of their Ts + Cs for their card, where it points out that by getting and using the card you accept the risks associated with it and agree to accept them!

By activating your Card you accept these Terms and Conditions and confirm you understand and accept the risks highlighted in clauses 2(b) and 18(d) of this Agreement.

And that response from Upto, my dear Quentin, is why I keep asking the question. The more you make an issue out of it, the more ridiculous you make yourself look because the reality of the situation is exactly as Upto states. The risk is, in fact, miniscule. Especially when compared to other cards you have previously advocated on this forum. :)
